Located in the western part of , the District has two towns within its region – Tipperary and Cashel. West Tipperary is a central location to operate business from with key arterial routes linking all major cities and airports.

Cashel, located in the heart of County Tipperary, is home to the internationally renowned – one of the top visitor attractions in . Cashel has been included in the tentative list of sites for UNESCO World Heritage status.
