Problematic coverage refers to analysis of the economy of the underdeveloped areas of the Tuzla Canton in dynamic and structural view. Second dimension of the research subject is spatial and it involves considering the economic-development positions of the underdeveloped areas of Tuzla Canton (and the changes in that view as well). Temporal dimension of the object of research is a long-term time horizon, until about three decades in retrospect, and a decade in perspective. Considering defined subject of the research, the general goal of the paper is evaluation of the economic development position of underdeveloped areas communities of Tuzla Canton in the cantonal economy and opportunities of improving their development.The research hypothesis of the paper reads: intensification of investments and changes in the economic structure of communities in an undeveloped areas of Tuzla Canton will significantly improve their development, thus the level of development of the Canton. The results showed significant differences in the regional development of the Tuzla Canton. Analysis of the data confirmed that the Tuzla Canton has quality of socio-economic basis for more intensive development and overcoming problems of unequal development, which is reflected in the substantial capacity of natural resources, favorable geo-climatic location, developed infrastructure, etc. -

Srebrenica Genocide – Facts & Summary
SREBRENICA GENOCIDE – FACTS & SUMMARY 1. The Genocide in Srebrenica was among the worst of many atrocities to occur in the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina from April 1992 to November 1995, during which the policies of aggression and ethnic cleansing pursued by Bosnian Serb forces with the direct support of the Serbian regime of Slobodan Milosevic and its followers ultimately led to the displacement of more than 2,000,000 people, more than 100,000 killed, tens of thousands raped or otherwise tortured and abused, including at concentration camps in the Prijedor area, with the innocent civilians of Sarajevo and other urban centers such as: Bratunac, Foca, Kljuc, Prijedor, Sanski Most, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Osmaci, Doboj, Kotor Varos, repeatedly subjected to traumatic shelling and sniper attacks. 2. In addition to being the primary victims at Srebrenica, individuals of Bosniak - Bosnian Muslims heritage comprise the vast majority of the victims during the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole, especially among the civilian population. 3. Beginning in April 1992, the aggression and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by Bosnian Serb forces resulted in a massive influx of Bosniaks - Bosnian Muslims seeking protection in Srebrenica and its environs, which the United Nations Security Council designated a safe area within the Srebrenica enclave in Resolution 819 on April 16, 1993, under the protection of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR). 4. The UNPROFOR presence in Srebrenica consisted of a Dutch peacekeeping battalion, with representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the humanitarian medical aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) helping to provide humanitarian relief to the displaced population living in conditions of massive overcrowding, destitution, and disease. -

Reported increase in the number of landlides; Local authorities have been taking necessary measures to evacuate the population in danger and to keep landslides under control. ! Weather conditions will be worsening in the following few days with a chance of rain and thunderstorms across the country; ! Federal and Republic of Srpska Hydrological Report indicates that water levels are in most locations going down while in some are stagnating; ! There is an emerging need to collate WASH rapid needs assessments and to triangulate information with government information. UNICEF lead WASH Coordination meeting held on May 28, 2014 hosted 28 participants from the civil sector, UN Agencies and Embassies (ADRA, EU, IFRCO, FDA, OSCE, OXFAM, SIDA, SOS Children Village, STC, Swiss Embassy, UNICEF, US Embassy, WHO, World Vision) sharing information on the assessments being undertaken. ! In many locations water systems have been re-established, water is still not potable in most areas; ! Epidemiological situation is stable and no outbreaks have been reported in flood-stricken areas. ! DoboJ, MaglaJ, Olovo, Una-Sana Canton and Posavina region at the basin of Bosna, Krivaja and Usora rivers have been identified as mine and UXOs suspected areas; ! Number of persons accommodated in temporary accommodation facilities is 1384: number of temporary accommodation facilities reported to be 42. ! Emerging priorities are soil decontamination, replanting of seeds in time for the crops season, livestock repopulation, feed for livestock, housing, reestablishment of services from the municipalities and reconstruction of the industrial and commercial network ! Joint UN-EU-World Bank rapid assessment training took place on May 29-30. -

General Situation Type of the Disaster : Heavy rainfalls causing floods Date and Time the Disaster occurred : 13 May 2014 Location of the Disaster : Central and North-East parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina 3. Assessment of the situation: 3.1. The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) caused by heavy rainfall, floods and landslides remains complex. In the past 24 hours declining water levels of the rivers in the Sava River Basin were recorded and the water has returned to its natural river beds in many areas. In the municipality of Samac evacuation is complete and water levels continue declining. Efforts to clean the terrain are ongoing and humanitarian aid is arriving.
