International Humanitarian Assistance to BiH 15th June 2014

Austria Disaster relief unit of the Austrian Armed Forces deployed – 76 02/06/2014 Based in Orasje WASH solders (consisting of command and logistic cell, detection elements, decontamination elements, a medical element and three water purification elements as well as specialists on chemical and biological hazards). This unit is capable of producing 240.000 l potable water per day which is sufficient to serve 50.000 persons. Unit will also transport the purified water to central distribution sites.

HWA will make distribution of following aid: 01/06/2014 Topcic polje WASH - sets of tools for cleaning of debris and sediment for 12 of the most vulnerable families. - 27 sets of disinfection facilities will be delivered. Each set contains a , Doboj and WASH hand-sprayer of 20 litters capacity, two pairs of rubber gloves, a mask Zavidovic with filter and disinfectant - 7 motor sprayers for disinfection and disinfectants to be donated to , Bijeljina and WASH professional services, that will immediately go in the field and start Brcko disinfecting the affected areas;

Since the beginning of the floods Austrian Humanitarian 28/05/2014 BIH Humanitarian aid Organizations and private donors are continuously sending humanitarian aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In cooperation with Habitat for Humanity and other donors preparing the project for rehabilitation phase in the value of 2.000.000 EUR (construction and reconstruction of housing units). The focus will be given to Roma and other extremely vulnerable families.

Catholic Relief Commitment of US$500,000 to the urgent flood relief and recovery 23/05/2014 Early recovery Services efforts across BiH and ;
