Bijeljina, Samac and Orasje. Planed activities: Psychosocial support; Room dryers and 260dehumidifiers, expected to be here 26/05/2014. An engineer from Germany for one month; REDO water purification unit (3,000l per hour) will be shipped Doboj 26/05/2014; Debris Cleaning – Use of Effective Microorganisms (EM) to clean oil spills and other contaminations in and around houses, as well as rehabilitating agricultural land. Possible deployment of EM Expert Cleaning-up activities; Distribution of Relief Items; Technician for the Water distribution system and dryers 21/05/2014 Austria Disaster relief unit of the Austrian Armed Forces deployed – 76 02/06/2014 Based in Orasje WASH solders (consisting of command and logistic cell, detection elements, decontamination elements, a medical element and three water purification elements as well as specialists on chemical and biological hazards). This unit is capable of producing 240.000 l potable water per day which is sufficient to serve 50.000 persons. Unit will also transport the purified water to central distribution sites. HWA will make distribution of following aid: 01/06/2014 Topcic polje WASH - sets of tools for cleaning of debris and sediment for 12 of the most vulnerable families. Each set contains a construction trolley, rubber boots, shovel, pick, protective mask with filter and work gloves Zmaja od Bosne bb, Sarajevo 71000, Bosnia and Herzegovina Tel: (387-33) 293 428 / Fax: (387-33) 552 330 / www.un.ba - 27 sets of disinfection facilities will be delivered. Each set contains a Maglaj, Doboj and WASH hand-sprayer of 20 litters capacity, two pairs of rubber gloves, a mask Zavidovic with filter and disinfectant - 7 motor sprayers for disinfection and disinfectants to be donated to Tuzla, Bijeljina and WASH professional services, that will immediately go in the field and start Brcko disinfecting the affected areas; Since the beginning of the floods Austrian Humanitarian 28/05/2014 BIH Humanitarian aid Organizations and private donors are continuously sending humanitarian aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina. HCP teams and the water purification unit active in affected areas. 28/05/2014 Affected areas WASH Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA) allocate through two EU 23/05/2014 Bijeljina, Vukosavlje, Early recovery funded projects 45.000 EUR for support to the Roma communities Tuzla and Kakanj (distribution of food, potable water, hygiene, tools, disinfection items); At least 12 families that are flood or landslides victims are going to be Bijeljina, Brčko and Early recovery beneficiaries of the Social housing project; Tuzla HWA offered assistance for Recovery Needs Assessment. Bijeljina Early recovery Rapid needs assessments - completed Emergency and Relief Phase: food, NFI, hygiene kits, disinfectants, water pumps, dehumidifiers, essential household items . Protection activities that include Roma and vulnerable women. Recovery Phase - livelihoods assistance such as seeds, tools, fodder, livestock etc. Caritas Channelled the contribution of Swiss Government (100.000 CHF) over 01/06/2014 18 Municipalities in Humanitarian aid, Early Switzerland Caritas Europe joint fund (total 600.000 Euro) for the emergency BiH - Distribution recovery relief for 8.000 families in food, hygienic goods and water. through local Caritas network. Support from retail companies Manor and Aldi in food, hygienic goods and clothes (value approx. 100.000 EUR) In cooperation with Habitat for Humanity and other donors preparing the project for rehabilitation phase in the value of 2.000.000 EUR (construction and reconstruction of housing units). The focus will be given to Roma and other extremely vulnerable families. Catholic Relief Commitment of US$500,000 to the urgent flood relief and recovery 23/05/2014 Early recovery Services efforts across BiH and Serbia; 8 field “assessment” teams visiting affected regions to evaluate the greatest needs for support. Croatia 2 helicopters with 15 people 19/05/2014 Doboj, Maglaj, Life saving Zavidovići, Modriča, State Emergency Fire-fighting brigade with 11 firefighters, 3 vehicles Orašje, Odžak, carrying pumps, aggregates and rescue equipment, Bosanski Šamac, State emergency civilian protection brigade with 8 people, 4 vehicles, Zenica, Brčko, Bijeljina, 3 tin boats with motors and other equipment; Orašje and Tuzla A Public Fire-fighting brigade with 6 people and 2 vehicles; The Government decided to extend their deployment until 21 May or 23 May at the latest. Croatian Red Cross has set up bank accounts for the collection of donations for the distressed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 13 people, 4 boats 16/05/2014 Vukosavlje 5 people, 2 boats Odzak 2 helicopters evacuation and transport as needed Czech Republic Two trucks with humanitarian aid (hygienic items, clothes, drinking 26/05/2014 Through the Red Cross Humanitarian aid water and boots) distributed through the Red Cross; Firemen and two water pumps; 20/05/2014 Orašje WASH Humanitarian aid kits 1,120 pcs delivered; Brčko Humanitarian aid, 182,000 EUR for Bosnia and Serbia for reconstruction and equipment 18/05/2014 Maglaj and Doboj Early recovery of laboratories within Local Ambulances. Denmark Water purification team consisting of 8 persons and a high capacity 04/06/2014 Various locations WASH pumping team (capable of moving 3,4 million liters of water per hour) consisting of 26 persons deployed on 25/05/2014. Support coordinated with other contributions from EU Member States by EUCP EU ECHO Post disaster needs assessment experts; 19/05/2014 Early recovery Help through Member States. 16/05/2014 EUFOR Providing trucks and manpower for distribution of humanitarian aid 25/05/2014 BiH Humanitarian aid, Early throughout affected areas. Additional 50 family tents to be delivered Tuzla region in following days through the Red Cross. Additional team (3 experts) with equipment for water purification 23/05/2014 WASH (4m3/h) deployed until 31/05/2014 Additional WASH Unit (4 persons) with an equipment for water 21/05/2014 Maglaj WASH purification (4m3/h) deployed until 27/05/2014 2 firefighters, 1 doctor and 1 water purification expert as well as 20/05/2014 Tuzla WASH water purification equipment, mobile ambulance (tent 54m2) and other materials (boots, clothes etc.) – will be present in affected areas until 26/05/2014.
