One solution to the problem is the deployment of bio jet fuel, which is a green alternative to the traditional jet fuel and can result in an 80 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The production of bio jet fuel, however, is to date more expensive relative to the production of traditional jet fuel and leads, as a result, to a higher price of flight tickets. -

Skyways Ska Flyga För Gotlandsflyg
2006-10-31 09:08 CET SKYWAYS SKA FLYGA FÖR GOTLANDSFLYG Från våren 2007 kommer Skyways trafikera Visby-Bromma för Gotlandsflygs räkning. Samtidigt fortsätter Skyways flyga de egna linjerna Visby-Arlanda och Visby-Bromma. Skyways Express AB har tecknat avtal med Gotlandsflyg att från våren 2007 trafikera Visby – Bromma. Skyways kommer att sätta in två Fokker 50 med plats för 50 passagerare. Det betyder att Gotlandsflyg hyr både besättning och flygplan. Ett motsvarande avtal har Skyways tidigare i år tecknat med Gotlandsflygs systerföretag Sundsvallsflyg. Skyways flyger sedan augusti rutten Sundsvall-Bromma för Sundsvallsflygs räkning. - Det känns otroligt stimulerande att Gotlandsflyg valt oss som operatör, säger Mikael Wångdahl, VD Skyways Express AB. Sundsvallsflyg är väldigt nöjda med vårt arbete. Nu ska vi göra detta lika bra på Visbysträckan. Att vi redan idag flyger på Visby bidrar naturligtvis till att vi kunnat ge Gotlandsflyg ett konkurrenskraftigt erbjudande. Bjørn Kjos, CEO – Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA Bjørn Kjos (68), is the CEO (2002- ) and a major shareholder of the successful airline, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Europe’s third largest low cost carrier. Aviation has been a central part of Bjørn’s life and flying a great interest ever since he was a child, as his father owned a small airplane. After two years of pilot training in Mississippi and Arizona in the United States he became a fighter pilot in the 334 squadron of the Norwegian Royal Air Force, guarding the Norwegian airspace against Soviet intruders between 1969 and 1975. After leaving the air force, Bjørn studied law, and is a Graduate from the University of Oslo. He has over 20 years of legal practise and in 1993, he was granted the right of audience in the Supreme Court. At the same time he became one of the founding partners and the Chairman of Norwegian Air Shuttle who took over the remains of bankrupt Busy Bee. Norwegian started flights on the west coast of Norway with Fokker 50s in cooperation with Braathens. In 2002, SAS bought Braathens and terminated Norwegian’s west coast operation. In order to save Norwegian and its employees, Norwegian turned into a complete Boeing 737 operation and went into head-to-head competition with SAS on domestic routes in Norway. Bjørn has been the company’s CEO since October 2002. Bjørn is a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship and executive leadership. In 2009, he won, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Norway. Bjørn is a true outdoor person and loves sailing, skiing and hunting. -

Braathens Regional Airlines démarre une gestion optimale de sa flotte avec un contrat de maintenance globale ATR Tous les ATR -600 de la flotte Braathens Regional Airlines sont désormais couverts par un contrat de maintenance globale Toulouse, le 4 janvier 2019 – La compagnie aérienne régionale suédoise Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) a entrepris le 1er janvier la mise en œuvre de son nouveau contrat de maintenance globale ATR. Cet accord stratégique, signé en juin 2018 avec ATR, entend renforcer davantage les liens étroits qui existent entre les deux compagnies. Cette offre complète de services sur mesure, qui porte sur les dix ATR 72-600 constituant l’ensemble de la flotte ATR de Braathens Regional Airlines, couvre la réparation, la révision et l'approvisionnement en unités remplaçables en piste (URP), ainsi que le transport des URP jusqu’aux installations de la compagnie aérienne. Ce contrat s’étend sur une durée de cinq ans. Suite à la mise en place du contrat de maintenance globale (GMA) pour la flotte ATR de Braathens Regional Airlines, Christian Clemens, PDG de Braathens Regional Airlines, a déclaré : « Avec une flotte d’ATR aussi importante, nous devons être en mesure de bénéficier des services les plus adaptés, de manière réactive et efficace, pour pouvoir tirer le meilleur parti de nos appareils.
