Braganza AB is a private investment company owned by Per G. Braathen and his children. Braganza has its office in Stockholm. The Group consists primarily of direct investments within the aviation industry and travel related industries, managed through active ownership. A minor part of the Group assets are classified as financial investments. Braganza as a group has a long history (1938) and was an active owner of the Norwegian airline company Braathens (SAFE) for more than 50 years, before SAS acquired Braathens in 2001. The current activities of Braganza began with a demerger in 2002 when the equity base was some MSEK 600 equivalent. During the following years the Group has increased the equity base to approximately 1,7 billion SEK, focusing on indus- trial investments in the form of wholly- or majority owned subsidiaries, developed through active and long- term ownership.     Bjørn Kjos, CEO – Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA Bjørn Kjos (68), is the CEO (2002- ) and a major shareholder of the successful airline, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Europe’s third largest low cost carrier. Aviation has been a central part of Bjørn’s life and flying a great interest ever since he was a child, as his father owned a small airplane. After two years of pilot training in Mississippi and Arizona in the United States he became a fighter pilot in the 334 squadron of the Norwegian Royal Air Force, guarding the Norwegian airspace against Soviet intruders between 1969 and 1975. After leaving the air force, Bjørn studied law, and is a Graduate from the University of Oslo. He has over 20 years of legal practise and in 1993, he was granted the right of audience in the Supreme Court. At the same time he became one of the founding partners and the Chairman of Norwegian Air Shuttle who took over the remains of bankrupt Busy Bee. Norwegian started flights on the west coast of Norway with Fokker 50s in cooperation with Braathens. In 2002, SAS bought Braathens and terminated Norwegian’s west coast operation. In order to save Norwegian and its employees, Norwegian turned into a complete Boeing 737 operation and went into head-to-head competition with SAS on domestic routes in Norway. Bjørn has been the company’s CEO since October 2002. Bjørn is a sought-after speaker on entrepreneurship and executive leadership. In 2009, he won, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Norway. Bjørn is a true outdoor person and loves sailing, skiing and hunting.

    Braathens Regional Airlines démarre une gestion optimale de sa flotte avec un contrat de maintenance globale ATR Tous les ATR -600 de la flotte Braathens Regional Airlines sont désormais couverts par un contrat de maintenance globale Toulouse, le 4 janvier 2019 – La compagnie aérienne régionale suédoise Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) a entrepris le 1er janvier la mise en œuvre de son nouveau contrat de maintenance globale ATR. Cet accord stratégique, signé en juin 2018 avec ATR, entend renforcer davantage les liens étroits qui existent entre les deux compagnies. Cette offre complète de services sur mesure, qui porte sur les dix ATR 72-600 constituant l’ensemble de la flotte ATR de Braathens Regional Airlines, couvre la réparation, la révision et l'approvisionnement en unités remplaçables en piste (URP), ainsi que le transport des URP jusqu’aux installations de la compagnie aérienne. Ce contrat s’étend sur une durée de cinq ans. Suite à la mise en place du contrat de maintenance globale (GMA) pour la flotte ATR de Braathens Regional Airlines, Christian Clemens, PDG de Braathens Regional Airlines, a déclaré : « Avec une flotte d’ATR aussi importante, nous devons être en mesure de bénéficier des services les plus adaptés, de manière réactive et efficace, pour pouvoir tirer le meilleur parti de nos appareils. Le lancement de ce GMA signé avec ATR vient renforcer la relation de confiance qui nous unit. » « Braathens Regional Airlines compte parmi les plus grands opérateurs européens et exprime une réelle volonté de poursuivre ses efforts d’innovation à nos côtés », ajoute Tom Anderson, Directeur des Programmes et du Service Client d’ATR.
