The Salvation Army is once again pro - viding a Summer Feeding Program for children and families Mondays through Fridays, through July 30th, 2021. Cristian Lopez, corps officer of The Salvation Army states, “Food is a basic human need that we provide at The Salvation Army through our food pantry and community meal program year- round. Being able to expand services to feed children this summer is not only a great opportunity, but our responsibility in feeding all the children of our commu - nity.” The Feeding Program will take place at the following locations and times: Timberly/Ripley Apartments, 339 SE Lawrence – 11:30 – 11:50am; Paradise Plaza, 1110 SW Powell St. Noon – 12:30pm; Deer Creek housing Unit, 423 SE Winfield, 12:30 – 12:50pm The feeding program is FREE to all in the community. More important than living in KANSAS is where you will live forever. Just as you would look at a map of KANSAS to find your way, so you must look at the Bible to find your way to heaven. The Bible says, “Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt. 7:14). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (Jn. 14:6). Jesus is the only way to Heaven and He gave these direc - tions on getting there. 1. Realize you are a sinner. Everyone starts the same place spiritually. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of god.” (Rom. 3:23). Sin’s penalty keeps you out of Heaven and condemns you to Hell, separat - ing you from God. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death.” Sin brings both physi - cal & spiritual death. “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Rev. 20:14). 2. Realize Jesus paid the penalty. Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection provid - ed a way for you to go to heaven and restore your relationship with God. “But God com - mendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8). Since Jesus, God’s Son, was the only One who could pay for our sin, He is the only Way to Heaven. TOPEKA 3. Repent of your sin and receive Jesus as RESCUE MISSION your Savior. In order to go to Heaven from KANSAS, or anywhere else, you must accept MINIS TRIES Christ by calling on Him in prayer. He tells us in Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call FAITH WITH IT S SLEEVES R OLLED UP upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Main: 785.35 4.1744 Use the following prayer, or one similar to it, to Mail Donations t o: receive Him now: Donat e: T ext TRMgiv e t o 77 977 600 N K ansas A ve Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner.
