The first time you power on your computer, Windows Flag appears while files in the background load “Just a moment”. 2. “Let’s start with region. Is this right?”; United States is selected (leave this), click Yes. 3. “Is this the right keyboard layout?”; US is selected (leave this), click Yes. 4. “Want to add a second keyboard layout?”, click Skip. 5. “Let’s connect you to a network”; plug in your Ethernet Cable or a USB Wireless Adapter (sold separately) if available. a. If you don’t have internet setup yet, click I don’t have internet (bottom left) and Skip to step 8. b. If using Wireless, click on your network, click Connect. Enter security key and click Next. “Allow your PC to be discoverable”, choose Yes or No, will connect and then click Next (bottom right). c. If using Ethernet Cable, it will automatically connect you, click Next (bottom right). 6. “Setting up”, (this might take several minutes), Don’t turn off your device. “Windows 10 License Agreement”, click Accept. a. Windows 10 Pro users: “How would you like to set up?”, click either Personal or Business and click Next. If you choose Business you will need your company login information or join via Domain. You can’t create a new account. We recommend you choose Personal even if this is for a business. b. Windows 10 Home users; proceed to next step. 7. “Sign in with Microsoft”; if you have an account already created you can sign in or below can click on “Create Account”. We recommend you skip this step by clicking Offline Account (bottom left corner). If you click Offline Account it will ask one more time “Sign in with Microsoft Instead?”, click No. Skip to step 10. 8. “There’s more to discover”; Click Continue with limited setup (bottom left). 9. “Windows 10 License Agreement”, click Accept. 10. “Who’s going to use this PC?”; enter a user name, click Next. 11. “Create a password”; enter a password for your account, if you do not want a password leave the box blank, click Next. 12. “Do more across devices with activity history” (saves your activity) click No or Yes. 13. “Get help from your digital assistant” (Enable Cortana); click Decline or Accept. 14. “Choose privacy settings for your device”; change any to your preference or leave all as defaults, click Accept. 15. “Hi” Windows will start to load all files (This might take several minutes), Don’t turn off your PC. 16. After Windows boots to the desktop, you must enter in the Product Key and activate Windows: **************** YOU MUST NOW ACTIVATE WINDOWS **************** 1. If you get an error message stating ‘Invalid Product Key” please re-enter the product key and double check each character. If you are not connected to internet a screen will appear “Unable to activate Windows” and you will need to do so by phone. Click Close and follow instructions below. ACTIVATE BY PHONE: Press the “Windows key + R” (Windows key is located next to ALT and has a flag on it). Popup will appear. Type: SLUI.exe 4 (there is a space between “SLUI.exe” and “4”) hit ENTER. Select your country or region and click Next. Installation ID screen will appear with phone number to call. .

Condition: When logging in a volume with an incorrect CHAP password, Drobo Dashboard will report “Operation failed” error. Workaround: Enter the correct password. If you do not remember the correct password, you can reset the password by logging in as administrator in Drobo Dashboard, disabling CHAP password and re-enabling CHAP password by entering a new value in the password field. Symptom: Formatting volumes when connected to Drobo B1200i via the management port is not available. Condition: When connected to Drobo B1200i via the management port, Drobo Dashboard can be used for changing device settings and creating or deleting volumes.
