Kaya Chippewa #20, Nort di Salina The main topic was the question: “Where are we today with the monuments of Bon- aire?” (Reporter Aug.3-17, 2012). f you've never quite understood what a I "people cat" is, then you need to meet Photo credit: David Pescowvitz “Irma.” This beautiful, classic calico cat loves nothing more than to be next to, near, around, in close proximity, on, under or above people (see photo for evidence)! She is virtually invisible when only her cat roommates are in the compound, but the moment a human enters her "people radar" goes off and she is there to meet and greet you. But Irma also understands people, she isn't annoying or pestering with her desire for human companionship. If you don't want a cuddling, lap cat then she quietly sits next to you or at your feet with a paw delicately placed to keep contact. If you want a lap cat that you can hug and kiss, she will gratefully sit in your lap for as long as you like, purring like a well tuned en- gine. When a visitor happens to leave a bag on the floor while they visit with the other cats, Irma will quietly slip into or on top of the bag, hoping the owner is willing to take a loving, devoted companion into an equally loving and devoted human home. Irma is about two years old, healthy, steril- ized and desperately seeking a human fam- ily that she can love.
