The second tier of the strategy is the development of a community tennis pro- gramme, through which we support at least one park venue in each local authority as a beacon site. This site would already have a proactive tennis coach promoting the sport to the community and we would ad- vise on how to attract people to organised tennis activities. The third tier is the creation of tennis hot spots – earmarking 20 specific areas across the country in which we’ll help the coach develop a long-term tennis strategy Joanna Henderson, to develop tennis in their area. Since its completion, the facility has been really well received by the local com- munity and by boarders from other areas.
