The Pink Jinx books have been set in Cajun Country, Louisiana and have such a real flavor that I was shocked to learn that Sandra Hill wasn't Cajun born and bred. This one is set in New Jersey and is fun too. I can't wait for his book. When Veronica "Ronnie" Jinkowsky is summoned by Pink Jinx estranged grandfather, the story he tells her just didn't Pink Jinx true. But, she felt that she owed him a c I have loved reading Pink Jinx series. But, she felt that she owed him a chance after spending her life listening to her bitter grandmother. Light, romantic Pink Jinx with a good dose of snark! Love, love, loved Jake's character - not so much Veronica's. With the storyline showing us why and how they got married 4 times! In the "Dear Reader" part of the book, Hill explains that this book is loosely based on her previous Cajun series, but one didn't have to read them in order, and that there would be recurring characters with this new series, but again, they didn't have to be read Pink Jinx order. I believe this to be true, however, this book was populated with way too many people and story lines. While hilarious, fun, and sexy, keeping track of people was a major pain for me. I I checked this book out from the library. I couldn't figure out why one character's elderly aunt kept making appearances, other than she was a beloved character from past novels. She kept getting involved in the lives of people that weren't related to her. While comic relief, the novel could have stood alone without her. There were almost dual story lines and romances in this book. The heroine suddenly had offers from two other men that weren't the hero. While this added some tension, the reader knew the Pink Jinx time that it wasn't going to happen. The hero also moved on from the heroine as well. I'm not sure that I fully understood what their trouble was and what the roadblocks to their relationship entailed. Then there was the whole treasure hunting business with the nearly-estranged and rough grandpa. While the HEA's wrapped up nicely, and the writing was excellent, I'm not sure that I walked away Pink Jinx good answers to all the questions. I'm not sure that I "bought" the catalyst for the heroine's transformation, or why the hero was motivated Pink Jinx change as well. But, this story delivers some great one-liners, humorous situations, and entertainment. While I was rough on the story line, I really liked the people in the book and then went immediately to the library's on-line page to get the next in the series. I loved Pink Jinx book, another great one by Sandra Hill! I originally thought that this was an extension of her Cajun series but it's not really. The characters of Tee John and Tante Lulu are in it, but they are just background characters. It also doesn't Pink Jinx place in the bayou. But I still loved it. This book had the same trademark quirkiness and humor as Hill's other books so I was not disappointed. In this book, Ronnie is a high powered lawyer from Boston who has been tricked by her eccentric gr I loved this book, another great one by Sandra Hill! In this book, Ronnie Pink Jinx a high powered lawyer from Boston who has been tricked by her eccentric grandfather into taking over Pink Jinx treasure hunting company. In the process of trying to sort it out, she runs into her 4 time ex-husband Jake who she finds out has invested grand in the grandfathers company. They both decide to get together and try to help out her grandfather's failing business, but of course it's not because they still love each other. Obviously having been married and divorced to the same person means they have no attraction. Tante Lulu is along for the ride to stir things up because she swears that the thunderbolt has hit Pink Jinx and Pink Jinx. I loved how the characters related to one another, and the attraction between Jake and Ronnie was indisputable. I thought the story line was interesting, and entertaining. This is definitely a book that flies along and by the time I realized it, it was over and I can't wait to read the next one: Pearl Jinx. Jinx has light gray skin, sharing this skin color with Raven, Argent and Kyd Wykkyd. Her hair color is light pink, with metallic black bands near the top. Her eyes match her hair color, with Pink Jinx shaped like a cat's. She also has small, oval-shaped pink cheek blushes. Her outfit is a black, long-sleeved dress with violet centered bands. The bottom of her dress is cut jagged about halfway down her thigh. She also has violet and black striped leggings under her dress. Her shoes are black platform boots with violet soles. She also has a black collar with a violet charm on it. During her time with the H. FiveJinx is a very ambitious go-getter with a slight mean streak. Because of her goals to rise among the ranks of villains, she tries her best to be an effective H. Far more controlled, focused and mature than her male teammates, Jinx has proven herself to be a largely capable and determined, if not subconsciously Pink Jinx, leader. Jinx is also strong in her own Pink Jinx, though, even directly assaulting Madame Rouge and releasing Kid Flash Pink Jinx Rouge taunted and mocked her, deeming her a "pathetic failure" and an "embarrassment". However, in "Lightspeed", we see a more determined, outspoken and emotional side of Jinx who wants to be respected and not shunned because of her bad-luck powers. Kid Flash helped Jinx bring out her true personality, and how she feels about certain things. Generally, however, despite her habitual dark looks, she is a very fashion-conscious girl, more intent on hunting for interesting attires and accessories rather than getting rich. Furthermore, she is characterized as the "popular girl" in the H. She often worked alongside her fellow cadets, Gizmo and Mammoth. Jinx temporarily moved into the quarters normally occupied by Raven. Jinx survived the incident, however, and soon regrouped with the rest of the H. In a later adventure, the H. Five once again encountered the Teen Titans while in the midst of a daring bank robbery. The H. The Titans used the beacon to discover the location of the H. As Stone, he befriended Jinx and the others, but Pink Jinx not fool the H. Although Pink Jinx true identity soon became known to the group, his presence made Jinx begin to question her commitment towards being a super-villain. Some time later, Jinx and the others were in the midst of robbing a museum when they encountered Kid Flash, who easily took the stolen items from them whilst giving Jinx a rose. By this point, Jinx felt that Pink Jinx reputation amongst the H. Five was tarnished, and she wanted to prove that she had what it took to play in the big leagues. She encountered Kid Flash once again, and managed to capture him on behalf of the Brotherhood. While imprisoned, the Pink Jinx asked Jinx why she insisted on hanging out with "losers" like the H. This angered Jinx greatly, but something in Kid Flash's words struck a chord within her. Nevertheless, she believed that the capture of Kid Flash assured her a place within the Brotherhood. Kid Flash soon escaped confinement, but Jinx caught up with him and managed to lay him low with an electro-stunner. Madame Rouge, however, was unimpressed with Jinx's handiwork and rebuked her efforts, calling her "pathetic". Pink Jinx soon turned against Madame Rouge and, following a brief battle, began to distance herself from the rest of the H. Kid Flash's persistent efforts to reform her finally paid off, as Jinx eventually abandoned the H. Five altogether and joined the Titans in their battle against the Brotherhood of Evil.
