This sale begins with rare Faiveley Musigny, Rousseau Clos de Beze, and Rouget Cros Parantoux—and it only gets better from there. There’s rare 37 year old Brora, from one of Scotland’s shuttered distilleries. There’s a stunning collection of Liger Belair and Rousseau, all from a member of the wine trade and bought on release and stored professionally. There’s gorgeous and pristine 1999 DRC La Tache—a wine you can’t have enough of. Lot 430 brings one of the most amazing collections in this sale, from a friend of our very own Fritz Hatton (read his cellar intro for a jealousy-inducing reminiscence of din- ing with the consignor). The mature bottles of Dujac and eye-popping Jayer are some- thing to behold. Keep turning the pages for Roumier and Ponsot, too. Amazing wines from top vintages in great condition. What more can you ask for? Lot 595 begins a collection with absolutely perfect provenance. The Lafite, as well as the Yquem and other wines in this collection were recently Chateau direct. For those that missed out in our 2019 Chateau-direct sale, this is a great opportunity! Lastly I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out Pioneers V. This cellar does have an end in sight, so I’d advise you to bid now should you wish to pick up some Cheval Blanc from this amazing single cellar. Finally, something new in 2021, the market is on such a tear that we decided to add a July auction. After that though, it’s the fall, and by that time we hope to be seeing you in person. Please don’t hesitate to be in touch with me or my team of Specialists around the world with any questions you may have! See you soon, Jeff President [email protected] 4 5 TOP TIER WINES with Perfect Provenance (LOTS 379-398) The following lots come from a Zachys client known for their meticulous collecting. All of these bottles have been removed from a renowned professional wine storage facility just for this auction. 6 ZACHYS tel 1.914.448.3026 • fax 1.914.313.2350 • [email protected] • zachys.com Lots 379 & 380 ZACHYS tel 1.914.448.3026 • fax 1.914.313.2350 • [email protected] • zachys.com 7 Lots 381-385 8 ZACHYS tel 1.914.448.3026 • fax 1.914.313.2350 • [email protected] • zachys.com BURGUNDY Musigny Faiveley 2016 Côte de Nuits, Grand Cru Romanée St. Vivant Dujac 2017 Lot 381: two banded original wood cases, 323 bottles Côte de Nuits, Grand Cru produced original carton Lot 382: one individual original wood case, lightly damp- stained label, 323 bottles produced "There is almost painful intensity to the beautifully precise, Lots 383-385: original wood case, 323 bottles produced even chiseled medium weight flavors that possess a lacy Parcel: lots 383-385 and classy mouthfeel, all wrapped in a beautifully persis- tent finish that is also youthfully, serious and firm...93-96." These holdings include seven monopole vineyards including the Grand Cru Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley. Besides making some of the most profound wines of Burgundy, the Faiveley family been important in promoting the wines of Burgundy, with Georges Faiveley co-founding the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin in 1934. Faiveley wines are famously among the most long- lived of all Burgundies, with tasters reporting that wines approaching the century mark remain profound.
