MINI CLUB - SKI ADVENTURE Due to the ever-increasing demand we now offer ski lessons for children from the age of 3 years. This program is Miniclub especially tailored to the needs of the little ones who want to explore the snow and winter sport in a safe surrounding Ski but who are yet too young to do a regular full-day skiing course. Experienced personnel will encourage and accompany Adventure the little ones towards their first steps on the bunny slopes. The outdoor lessons are limited to 2 hours (in the morning) per day in small groups. Children must be potty-trained and for safety reasons they must be willing to listen to and obey their instructor. Available in Kirchdorf, Oberndorf and St.Johann. For details please see pages 6/7, 12 and 14.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL Early Many of our customers enjoy the early start of the winter season and therefore we will again start our winter season as soon as December 14th. Early December is very special in Austria. This pre-Christmas period, also known as ‘Ad- Bird vent”, is a time of joy and tranquillity – a good time to get-together with friends and family. Tyrol is known the world over as one of the ‘must ski’ areas. You can walk from your chalet/hotel to many of our immediate slopes or just a short drive to as many as 250 lifts within a half hour. An abundance of superb ski areas ensures maximum skiing, minimum waiting. Snow boarders are welcome at all resorts. Tyroleans are famous for their friendly attitude toward visitors and go out of their way to see that your stay is problem free. WHERE ARE WE ? We are in the center of the finest skiing areas in Austria - off the Munich - Innsbruck Autobahn and connected by well maintained roads (please see road map). Please note: Highways (Autobahn) in Austria require a tax. If you are traveling from Munich direction to Austria you can avoid the tax. Just leave the Autobahn at the 2nd exit after the German/Austrian border marked ’Kufstein Süd - Felbertauern’. This is a tax free road (at the time brochure was printed).

HOW TO GET HERE By train: If staying in St.Johann, Kirchdorf or Oberndorf, the nearest train station is St.Johann/Tirol (only a short taxi ride of 4 kms. to Kirchdorf and Oberndorf.) Mention ’Tirol’ since there is more than one St.Johann in Austria. Zell am See has a train station. By plane: Closest airports are Munich (170 kms.) , Salzburg (70 kms.) and Innsbruck (95 kms.) Kirchdorf is the nucleus of our operations and where we have one of our branch offices. The village, old and attractive, is gro- wing year by year, but still retains its charm so typical in the Tyrol. The village offers a wide selection of accommodations, from excellent hotels to self catering apartments. It is only minutes from St.Johann, the Steinplatte and world famous Kitz- bühel. Excursion to Salzburg Salzburg is the capital of the federal state of the same name and pre-historic remains indicate that the city we know today is located on the site of age-old settlements, dating as far back as the Stone Age. However, many other sights like the Monastery of St.Peter, the Cathedral, the Mirabell Palace and Gar- dens, the Hellbrunn Palace and the famous ’Getreidegasse’, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756, are characteristic of Salzburg and worth visiting!

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides The best way to really enjoy the Austrian countryside is to treat oneself with a typical Tyrolean sleigh ride, leading you through the back roads, country lanes and forest tracks. It usually takes about one hour and is fun for both, adults and children alike as well as for couples - can you imagine anything more romantic than dashing through the snow on a starlit evening? Unwind and relax after a full day on the slopes . . .

Tobogganing … is great fun and suitable for the adventurous and therefore not recommended for very young children. The toboggan run is next to the hotel Kramerhof above the village of Kirchdorf.
