TILIPHONI: CIRCLI S-8t00 N°* * For release at will after Friday, June 2k, i960 THIHD CONCERT Of JAZZ IN THE GARDEN SERIES AT MUSEUM OF MODERN ART ON THURSDAY EVENING, JUNE 30 <jhe Lambert, Hendricks and Ross trio, three well known young singers, will give the third concert in the Jazz in the Garden series at the Museum of Modern Art on Thursday evening, June 30 at 8:30 p.m. Dave Lambert, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross vill he accompanied by the Ike Isaacs trio. The series of promenade concerts, co-sponsored by Metronome Magazine, is being presented every Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. through August 18 and features a dlf- ferent jaza group each week. Albums by the trio include "Sing a Song of Basle", "Sing Along with Basle", and "The Swingers." They have appeared at the Blue Note in Chicago, "the hungry i" in San Francisco, the Crescendo in Los Angeles, and the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, as well as many jazz festivals. Dave Lambert was born in Boston where he played drums and trumpet in school bands and orchestras and later with the Hugh McGuinness Trio. He has worked as a singer-arranger with Johnny Long, Gene Krupa, Stan Kenton and Harry James and appeared in the Broadway musical "Are You With It" as a singer-actor. Jon Hendricks gained his early musical experience singing in his Minister fatherfs church choir in Ohio. In the Army he staged and wrote songs for several Army shows. Among the lyrics he has written are "Four Brothers," "Sermonette" and "I Want You to Be My Baby." Annie Ross was born in England but raised in America. She has appeared in severe al Hollywood movies, British revues and has worked with Lionel Hampton's band in Europe and appeared in many Paris night clubs. The Ike Isaacs trio consists of piano, bass and drums. In case of rain the jazz concert will be cancelled. There is no special admiss ion to the concerts except for the regular Museum admission of 95 cents.
