Citywide Activity Guide 2013-14 winter Arts Recreation Parks Senior Service Special Events Dear Residents, As the end of autumn nears, the City of Solon’s staff are preparing for the arrival of the cold winter months. Winter really can be an exciting time – if you give it try – and we encourage you to come out and meet people, socialize, and remember that we truly do live in a wonderful city! Many people around the country would love to have our changing seasons. (I know…we’d all like it to change right back to spring!) The brochure you are about to open represents many hours of planning and preparation by the different departments here in Solon. We all strive to serve you in the best ways possible, and we genuinely love interacting with residents and hearing feedback on how we are doing. Please always feel free to drop us a note to let us know how we can serve you better. Finally, as I write this in October, I am daydreaming about the snowflakes falling, the ice glistening, the sound of snowplows at night, and – you get the picture! Enjoy the season, and please be sure to make use of ALL our city services here in Solon. Our goal is always to do our best for you! Enjoy the seasons, stay healthy, and most of all, stay warm!
