President of the Dutch Football Association since 1993, Mathieu Sprengers was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee at the UEFA Congress in London in 1996. In 2000, he took responsibility for UEFA’s finances as treasurer, an office that he held until 2007. In this capacity, he played a crucial role in UEFA’s solidarity policy, in particular by chairing the HatTrick Board, dealing with financial assistance to the national associations. Mathieu Sprengers was also one of the key figures of EURO 2000, co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands, and UEFA benefited enormously from the experience he acquired in this respect. FC BARCELONA Futbol Club Barcelona also known as FC Barcelona and familiarly as Barça, is a professional football club, based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English and Catalan footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto "Més que un club" (More than a club). It is the world's second-richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turnover of €398 million (2011). • FC Steaua Bucuresti V Real Betis Balompié PRESS KIT
FC Steaua Bucuresti v Real Betis Balompié PRESS KIT Lia Manoliu, Bucharest Thursday, 9 March 2006 - 19:00 local time Round of 16 - Matchday 10 FC Steaua Bucuresti were undone by Spanish opposition at this stage of the UEFA Cup last season, but will be looking to avoid the same fate when they line up against Real Betis Balompié in the last 16. Almost 12 months ago to the day the Romanian side saw their hopes ended by Villarreal CF at El Madrigal as Argentinian playmaker Juan Román Riquelme led the home team to a 2-0 victory. •A 3-1 first-leg victory proved enough to see Steaua negotiate their way through their first knockout round tie against SC Heerenveen. Nicolae Dica, Dorin Goian and Sorin Paraschiv were all on target as Cosmin Olaroiu's team recovered from conceding an early Arnold Bruggink goal in the Netherlands and although Heerenveen pulled one goal back in Bucharest, it was Steaua that progressed. It was the continuation of some fine form in this competition by the former European champions, who breezed through the group stage after an unbeaten campaign that brought eight points, including comprehensive victories against RC Lens and Halmstads BK - both at home. •Betis were also indebted to a two-goal first-leg lead as they edged past AZ Alkmaar to secure a place in the last 32. Brazilian pair Diego Tardelli and Robert were both on target as late goals earned the side a significant advantage in Seville, which the Dutch team clawed back at the Alkmaarderhout to take the tie to extra time.

  • Strategisk Analyse Og Verdsettelse Av Rosenborg Ballklub
Strategisk analyse og verdsettelse av Rosenborg Ballklub BE305E Finansiering og investering Bodø, 2015 Stig Roland Nyvik Kristian Holhjem Almli Abstract The purpose of this master’s thesis was to valuate Rosenborg Ballklub per 1 January 2015. The valuation of Rosenborg was conducted using fundamental valuation. We chose this method because it allowed us to base the valuation on analyses of strategy and financial statements. This method is considered to be the most suitable to use when valuating a football club such as Rosenborg. Rosenborg is Norway’s most successful football club, having won more than 20 league titles. Norwegian football clubs have in recent years experienced a recession due to declining attendances, lower revenue from sponsorship deals and few success stories in European club competitions. Our valuation is based on financial statements for the period 2010-2014, while the strategic analysis stems from statements by Rosenborg, sports websites and news articles. The PESTEL analysis indicates that the main macroeconomic challenges for Norwegian football clubs are legislative changes and fluctuations in the economy. The external analysis revealed that the greatest threats were high rivalry among clubs and the media´s increased bargaining power. In the internal analysis we have identified Rosenborg’s strengths and weaknesses. The strategic analysis is summarised in a SWOT analysis, where we see that the club has several enduring advantages. The analysis of the financial statements shows that Rosenborg's revenue has been declining through the period, which confirms the economic challenges the industry is facing. Simultaneously, we see that Rosenborg is better equipped to meet these challenges through a greater solvency than the footballing industry at large.
