Darryl Brohman

Commentator, Keynote Speaker and MC

Darryl Brohman is one of the best known and most loved media personalities in sports media. Known as The Big Marn, he shot to fame as a player with Penrith and Canterbury during the 1970s and 1980s.

Darryl went on to become equally well known as a commentator with the Radio Station 2GB, where he continues to work today. He was a regular on the popular Channel 9 Footy Show for several years and is well known for his continuing entertaining television commercials for Lowes menswear.

With an outgoing personality, and as one of the sharpest brains in football, Darryl is an accomplished after dinner speaker and MC.

More about Darryl Brohman: Darryl attended Wavell High School in and graduated in 1973. He joined the NRL, making 114 first grade appearances with Penrith and Canterbury – and winning a premiership with the Bulldogs in the mid 80s.

Darryl represented in two State of Origin games and was considered unlucky not to have represented Australia – indeed, it’s widely considered that he would have played for Australia had he not had his jaw smashed in an illegal tackle by while playing for Queensland’s State of Origin team in 1983.

Darryl Brohman supports several charities including the Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Prostrate Cancer Foundation.
