Durch großes Engagement und das unaufhörliche Touren spricht sich jedoch schnell herum, dass diese vier Jungs aus Nordkalifornien mit ihrem rohen, energetischen Sound jeden Club zum Kochen bringen. Der Durchbruch innerhalb der Alternative- und Metalszene gelingt dann 1997 mit dem Nachfolger ›Around the Fur‹. Songs wie ›My Own Summer (Shove It)‹ und ›Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)‹ werden zu internationalen Hymnen und Wegbereitern für die Nu- Metal-Bewegung der späten Neunziger.
