The refurbishment involved the demolition of the entire existing structure whilst the retained façade was supported, the excavation of a three- storey basement providing staff and conference facilities and the construction of a two-storey roof extension within the existing mansard to expand the hotel’s capacity. The neighbouring Grade II listed Georgian townhouse has been carefully refurbished to provide a set of fully serviced rooms; restoring and enhancing the building to its original grandeur whilst providing a background for the interior design narrative by Hirsch Bedner Associates.
