Between - and sometimes inside - the main arcs of history, symbols of rest, restocking, or go on the side of quests. In addition, each character of the player has a backstory, an unfinished part of his personal story that may be relevant to the campaign from time to time. Sometimes the main story arcs are inextricably linked with the character's backstory. Both campaigns have been aired in Axandria, the world of Matthew Mercer's work. The One Edit campaign takes place mainly in Tal'Dore, continent Exandria. This follows the feats of an adventurous party known as Vox Machina, formerly known as the Super High-Intensity Team, a rag-tag group of mercenaries originally formed in the swamp town of Stilben. It consists of Vax'ildan, Vex'ahlia, Pike, Grg, Scanlan, Tiberius, Keyleth and Percy. Pre-series of the story edit In their adventures before the series began, the group rescued the family of Sovereign Uriel Tal'Dorey III, the ruler of Tal'Dorey and his capital Emon. In appreciation, Uriel granted the group a seat on the city council and granted them a residence called Greyskull Keep, which is located near the city. Episode 36, entitled Winter's Cross in Whitestone, has a summary of the pre-series story (starting at 1:35 a.m. in the episode), with works of art created by Wendy Sullivan Green and voice-over provided by the cast. The upcoming animated series Critical Role will include the canonical story, which takes place in the pre-stream dates. The first episode of the show aired on March 12, 2015, kicking off the streaming of the first campaign, which ended with the 115th and final episode on October 12, 2017. The story of the Kraghammer arc (episodes 1 16) jumps to a point in the history of Vox Machina, where the original home game of the actors stopped. This takes place mainly in the underground depths of , and culminates in a battle between Vox Machina and a dangerous beholder named K'varn, who controls the entire city of Illidide. The story of the Vasselheim Arc (episodes 17 23) divides the party into two groups that seek to prove their worth to 'Slayer's Take', a guild of local adventurers in the ancient city of Wasselheim, taking on dangerous missions. This arc features multi-epigional performances by guests Felicia Day (Lear), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Sahra), (Torbir) and Will Friedl (Cashaw), adding a new twist to the now-divided adventure group. This arc also includes the first episode (episode 22), which touches on the character's backstory as Keyleth visits another Druid tribe to continue her Arament©, journey to become the leader of his people. The arch of Briarwood's history (episodes 2438) leads Vox Machina to Percy's ancestral home, the town of Whitestone, which was once run by his family. The party must fight for control of Whitestone against lord and Lady Briarwood, who are responsible for the demise of much of the de Rolo family and have taken the city as their own. Briarwood's ties to necromance and the secret cult make things even more dangerous, and Vox Machina must stop them from completing a ritual that threatens to endanger the entire kingdom. In the early stages of this arc, Tiberius leaves Vox Machina for good. Arch of Chrome Conclave History (episodes 39'83) begins with attack four ancient chromatic dragons on Emona, the capital of Tal'Dorey, with the Sovereign and other important politicians falling in onslaught. The Dragons take control and divide the kingdom, and in order to defeat them, Vox Machina needs more power than they currently do. Cara download games di PC. They are looking for Lead Divergences, famous and extremely powerful magical objects from centuries gone, which are scattered all over the world. During the ongoing battles against the mighty dragons of the Chroma Conclave, the back theories of some characters are also explored. Smaller arcs focus on Grog's herd, which once banished him, the last figure from Percy's traumatic past, as well as the tense reunion of the family of twins, Vex and Waqs. The story of the Taryon Darrington arc (episodes 84 99) begins with the departure of Scanlan from a group whose mental problems and disagreements with the group culminate in an argument that shakes the party. While traveling to Ank'Harel on the continent of Marche, Vox Machina meet Tarion Darrington, an inexperienced novice author and adventurer. Adventures along with Taryon, some small story arcs see Vox Machina helping Keyleth (who seeks to complete her Aramente©), literally traveling to hell, and dealing with the Tarion family who reside in the Dwenddale Empire on the Wildemount continent. During this arc, which is loosely defined by Scanlan's absence and Tarion's presence in the party, the Pike family also pretends and her relationship with them is explored. The arc includes a one-year miss between episodes 94 and 95. Cult history arc (episodes 99 115) is once again a mysterious and dangerous artifact that was activated under Whitestone Castle during the history of the Briarwood Arc. Scanlan finally returns to Vox Machina, while the party must now fight a cult that tries to summon the evil demigods of the lyc Vesnu, who seeks to rise to true piety and rule Exandria. His ascent actually succeeds, and he becomes the only god on this side of the Divine Gate that keeps other gods from directly interfering in the world they have created. With the indirect help of some of the major deities that help them with special powers, Vox Machina are the only group of heroes who can stop Whisper One in one giant final battle. The Vox Machina: The Search for Grog post-campaign was played on a non-stream live stream on January 19, 2019, and released on YouTube and Twitch on February 23, 2019. This canon game explored an event that occurred in the final episode of Campaign 1, but was not played in detail then because it would have disrupted an ongoing epilogue. Several additional single-cats of Vox Machina are planned. The second campaign began on January 11, 2018. History The second campaign follows the exploits of an adventurous party known as Mighty Nein and taking place on the continent of Wildemount, which was briefly visited during the Vox Machina campaign. The Mighty Nein campaign began 20 years after Vox Machina's final battle against Vecna. The story of Trostenwald/Alfield (episodes 17) serves as the origin story for a new adventure party whose members first meet in Trostenwald, a town in the south of the Twenddale Empire. Seven very different people join forces to investigate the zombie attack in the circus, for which two of them worked previously. After seemingly unravelling the mystery and freeing themselves from the charges against them, seven people (Fjord, Beau, Caleb, Noth, Jester, Mollymook and Yasha) agree to create a mobile party. They make their way north towards zadash, the second largest city in the empire, but on the way, particularly in the city of Alfield. After assisting the Imperial Police Forces, the Crown Guards, during the gnast attack and its aftermath, the group first came up with the party name Mighty Nein. The story of the Arc Of Thes (episodes 8 18) covers the adventures of the party in the city of zadash. They come into contact with both the upper class and the underbelly of the city, do work for the Royal Guard, briefly support a secret group that fights corrupt high-ranking government officials and eventually begins to work for Gentleman, a mysterious figure who controls the criminal underground of Sadash. During his naive time in the city of Mighty Nein also participates in hostilities and witnesses the first signs of war between the Dyandal Empire and the Bed of the Knyn dynasty, the rulers of the eastern country of Shorehas. In addition, Nein - unbeknownst to anyone else - acquire a mysterious source of energy that both the wizards of the Empire allied Cerberus Assembly as well as Kryn have been heavily invested in. Their first assignment takes them west to Berleben, a town on the Labenda swamp, and eventually to the swamp itself, where they explore a safe place for smugglers that has darkened. Their second assignment takes them north and beyond the empire's borders, where they must help a gentleman's ally in the lawless town of Shady Creek Run. During this journey, the Mighty Nein encounters a dangerous group of slave traders. Three party members are kidnapped while the others are desperate to save them. During its battles against the slavers and their allies, the party experiences difficulties, the loss of Molly and grief, but also gets a new ally (Kaduchus). After completing his second assignment, which was also related to the slave trade case, the party returns to zadash and - for the moment - finishes his work for the gentleman. The Arc of the False Snake (episodes 32-47) takes the Mighty Neen from the Empire on a more private mission as they travel south to the urban states of the Menagene coast, where they hope to learn more about the Fjord's strange and growing powers. After a short visit to Jester's mother and following certain hooks in the coastal city of Nicodranas, a crazy series of events leads to the fact that Mighty Nein sails on a boat in the Lucidian Ocean. Learning more about the Fjord's powers and the ancient life that provides them to him, the party is forced to work with a cunning pirate captain and eventually finds itself in Darktow, an island controlled by a pirate group known as the Revelry. After severing ties with the pirates, Fjord finds out that the continuation of his journey can lead to disaster in the process, and the party decides to leave the ocean. They return to the Dvondal Empire after hearing about the events in the ongoing war with Shorehas, in particular the attack on Kryna in Felderwin, the former home of Nota in the eastern part of the Empire. In the story of the Xhorhas Arc (continues from Episode 48), Mighty Nein travels east. Arriving in Felderwin, the group learns that a half-camp named Eza was taken by Kryn. This makes Noth open up about herself, revealing that she wasn't always a goblin, and that Yeza was actually her husband. In search of Yeza, Mighty Nein travels underground and into the wasteland of Xhorhas. When they reach the city of Asary, they take on the hired work to gain favor with Kryna, and they manage to seal a dangerous rift into the Abyss, a demonic plane. As a reward, the group asks for an audience with the Light queen, the ruler of the Kryn dynasty, hoping to exchange his favor for the freedom of Eza. During an audience in the capital, Rozokhna, the party is accused of espionage. In the last attempt to save his life, Caleb pulls out an object that the party acquired in zadash. It turns out it was the Lighthouse, a key part of the Wing religion that was stolen by the Cerberus Assembly, a theft that probably sparked the war. Mighty Nein is declared heroes of the dynasty for the return of the Lighthouse, and Eza is released from prison. The party takes on more work for Kryn to understand more about them and the war. On their next mission, they discover and close more faults, concluding that someone is calling them on purpose, with the Forces of the Empire probably the culprits. The party rewards the Mighty Neen at home in Rosekhna, and despite the conflict over their new addictions, the party continues to investigate the divisive case. The band's first campaign began two years before the series began as a one-off, simplified Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition of Liam O'Brien's birthday. The players enjoyed this initial game so much that they continued to play by switching to Pathfinder. After Felicia Day heard about Ashley Johnson's private home game, she approached the band about playing live format games for Geek and Sundry. In order to streamline the gameplay for the show, the game's characters were transformed from Pathfinder to Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition before the web series began airing on March 12, 2015. In June 2018, Critical Role launched its own Twitch and YouTube channels, and the franchise's creative director was announced as a member of Marisha Ray. Critical Role then began to self-produce new shows and content that is not broadcast on Geek and Sundry channels. The sets for their show moved from Legendary Digital Network studios to their own Critical Role studios in July 2018. In February 2019, the critical Role friendly split from Geek and Legendary Digital Networks was completed, and their shows and VOD were broadcast exclusively on Critical Role channels. Legacy episodes (the entire campaign 1, the first 51 episodes of Campaign 2, and the first 100 episodes of the official Talk Machina discussion show) remain available in the Geek and Sundry archives on YouTube and Twitch. Format's Critical Role is a mixture of the weekly show and the modern Twitch game stream. Each episode usually lasts 3 to 6 hours and is broadcast live on Twitch Critical Role almost every Thursday, with possible breaks from the show announced at least a week before the broadcast. VOD is available to subscribers of the Twitch Critical Role channel immediately after the broadcast, and then uploaded to the YouTube channel Critical Role next Monday, where it can be watched for free. On January 11, 2018, the first episode of the second campaign reached 135,000 viewers on Twitch and YouTube, compared with 40,000 viewers of the first final. In an article published in January 2016, the landfill described Critical Role as a completely modern show with a business model that is still evolving. In an interview with online gaming magazine Polygon, lead designer D'D Mike Myrtles commented on the show, stating, It was really cool as a guy who works on Dungeons and Dragons to open my Twitch app on my iPad and see Dungeons and Dragons in the front row. The viewer's reaction to the show was overwhelmingly positive, and many fans, nicknamed Critters, created content such as fan art, fan fiction, character-inspired music, and fan-generated merchandise for the show. On March 4, 2019, the cast launched a Kickstarter fundraising campaign for a 22-minute animation called Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina Animated Special. The animated story will be set just before the start of the streaming part of the campaign, when players were around the seventh tier, at a time when, canonically, there is an in- game period of about six months when (then eight) members of Vox Machina were not all together at the same time. For one 22-minute animated short, performing other campaign awards, and crowdfunding fees The cast is projected to cost US$750,000. Not knowing how long it would take to raise, the duration of the campaign was set at 45 days. Within an hour of launching, however, Kickstarter reached over $1,000,000. At the end of the first full day, all declared targets were unlocked, totaling more than $4.3 million. With four 22-minute episodes funded in the first 24 hours, additional goals were added, expanding the project into an animated series. The first two episodes will cover the pre-stream story arc. Subsequent episodes adapted the Briarwood arc, also from the Vox Machina campaign. By March 18, 2019, eight 22-minute episodes had been funded. Finally, on April 4, 2019, during the broadcast of the 57th episode of Campaign 2, the last published goal of $8.8 million was reached, which reached the total length of the animated series to ten episodes. The secret $10M stretch goal travis Willingham filmed walking the haunted house was achieved on April 16. The final total raised by Kickstarter when it closed on April 19, 2019, was $11.3 million. The cast will reprise their respective Vox Machina roles, with the exception of Orion Aqaba. The animated series will be written by Jennifer Muro and animated by Titmouse, Inc. The project is scheduled for release in late 2020. The inclusion of Arhan was announced at Machina talks as part of a sponsorship deal. Licensed miniature figures in July 2018 Steamforged Games (SFG) collected about $1.2 million in campaign to collect miniature figures based on players' (PC) characters and non-test characters (NPCs) from both Critical Role campaigns. The Kickstarter campaign included Vox Machina and Mighty Nein miniatures, which will also go on sale for a date that has not yet been announced. Kickstarter also included exclusive miniatures by Tarion Darrington, Doty, Pumat Prime and three Pumat Sols. In February 2019, SFG updated its support that the quality control samples received did not meet the standards of both their and critical role-playing actors. Because of this and SFG's production partner, stopping production for the Chinese New Year, the expected performance decreased from March 2019 to summer 2019. SFG also sells the Vault miniature line based on the first and second campaigns. Unlike Kickstarter miniatures, which are made using PVC, miniatures of 'Vault' are made from resin as small, volume, limited edition. In December 2015, the cast released The Critical Guide in response to a stream of gifts they received from fans, asking them instead to donate to various charities, with each member of the cast sponsoring each charity. In the spring of 2018, the show held a charity event for 826 LA, resulting in community members donating more than $50,000, which was counciled by a generous member of the community. Critical Role and Stephen Colbert, along with Red Nose Day, took part in a special adventure with Matthew Mercer as the Dungeon Master, which aired on May 23, 2019.
