Of ons Suid-Afrikaanse DE WAAL’s nou afstam vanaf b1 – Jacob of b3 – Michiel, dit is egter baie seker dat Jan van Rozenburg wel beide se voorvader is.) Daar is natuurlik ander wat verskil en tans is daar mense in Nederland wat vir my help om te kyk of ons die raaisel kan oplos. Volgens Ds. P. DE WAAL net die volgende uit sy verkorte en verbeterde weergawe van sy DE WAAL register en ek haal net so uit sy werke aan, met erkening aan Ds. P de Waal. “Die DE WAAL - geslag is van ‘n baie ou adelstand sover terug bekend as 1345 in GENT. Die latere raadsheer Jan Franz DE WAAL was die gevolmagtigde van keiser Karel IV en het volgens patentbrief, 1 Aug 1739 die titel van BARON ontvang. Onder hulle was senatore, advokate, ‘n professor in die teologie (Antonius DE WAAL 1573 – 1639, Leiden), beroemde skilders van die Vlaamse skool, t.w. Lucas, Cornelius en Johann (c. 1622 – 1631), soos hul beelde te sien is in Rome en Munich en hul skilderye te Berlyn, Weenen, Amsterdam en Florence. Sommige het later ook ‘n aktiewe deel in die Protestantse stryd in Nederland geneem en een is te Utrecht op die markplein onthoof vir sy geloof. Oorsprong van die Naam – Name is dikwels afkomstig van die woningsoord of benaming van die plaas van die eienaars en so het die landgoed “DER WALE” of “WALLONE” geheet, met ‘n latere toegepaste naam van DE WAAL aan die bewonders self. Die naam het in Suid-Nederland ontstaan, later versprei in alle lande van Europa in verskillende vorme, soos De Waele, De Wael, De Wal (frankryk), Walen, De Waal en eindelik in 1715 na Suid-Afrika. Die Geslag in Nederland Ons noem hulle agtereenvolgens met net enige aanmerkings by die name:- 1. Johan DE WAAL – ‘n Ryk koopman van Amsterdam wat in 1473 die voortreflike landgoed Rosenburg aangekoop het. Hierdie pragtige plek was geleë te Voorschoten by Den Haag. 2. Jacob DE WAAL – Woonagtig te Rosenburg. Koopman, raadslid en regter. Later te woonagtig te Haarlem, waar hy in 1521 burgermeester geword het. Oorl. 1524. 3. Michiel DE WAAL – Van Haarlem, in 1573 kaptein van die burgermag. 4. Jan DE WAAL – Burgermeester van Haarlem, 1597 5. Jan DE WAAL – Burgermeester van Haarlem, 1627 en nog neëntien maal daarna. Later woonagtig te Amsterdam. Oorl. 1678 6. Johan DE WAAL – Miskien is dit die kleinseun van hierdie stamvader wat na Suid- Afrika vertrek het. Die skakel is hier enigsins onduidelik. 7. Johan DE WAAL – Oorl. 1691. Miskien is die Jan wat na Suid-Afrika in 1715 gekom het hierdie Johan se seun. A. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders. Elapsed time in match when offence occurred: 72:36 SANZAAR NEWS RELEASE Marius Louw suspended for 3 weeks The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee has accepted a guilty plea from Marius Louw of the Sharks for contravening Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, after he was Cited during a Super Rugby Match at the Weekend. Louw has been suspended from all forms of the game for 3 weeks, up to and including Saturday 13 April 2019. The incident occurred in the 72nd minute of the match between the Sharks and Rebels played at Jonnsson Kings Park in Durban on 23 March 2019. The SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee of Adam Casselden SC (Chairman), Stefan Terblanche and Eroni Clarke assessed the case. In his finding, Foul Play Review Committee Chairman Adam Casselden SC ruled the following: "Having conducted a detailed review of all the available evidence, including all camera angles and additional evidence, including from the player and submissions from his legal representative, Adrian Montzinger, the Foul Play Review Committee upheld the citing under Law 9.13." "With respect to sanction the Foul Play Review Committee deemed the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of 6 weeks due to World Rugby instructions that dictate any incident of foul play involving contact with the head must start at a mid-range level.
