KEY FACTS The character of the lemon flavor for Absolut® Citron results from a composition of several lemon fractions that are obtained by lemons grown, harvested and processed in Sicily, Italy and Argentina.

Along with lemons, a lime fraction is added. This is obtained from limes grown, harvested and processed in Mexico. State-of-the-art extraction methods are used to obtain the highest concentration of essential oils, which are refined and professionally blended together in our specialized flavor house.

The citron essence is then delivered to the Absolut distillery in Åhus where it’s slowly infused into Absolut vodka. Every single batch is carefully blended and rested in tanks for a perfect marriage. It is then sensory evaluated and bottled in our iconic Absolut Citron bottles.
