Floor Leader Liberty Korea Party

The Honorable Na Kyung Won is a Member of the National Assembly of the, Republic of Korea and currently the Floor Leader of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party. She is the first female to head the congressional leadership of a conservative party in Korea.

She was also the first female Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the National Assembly. As the Chairperson, she played an instrumental role in passing the landmark North Korean Human Rights Act in 2016. With a keen interest in strengthening the ROK-U.S.-Japan trilateral cooperation to ensure peace and prosperity on the Korean peninsula, she is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Korea-U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Council and the Vice Chairperson of the Korea-Japan Parliamentarians' Union.

At the forefront of the conservative movement, she was the spokesperson and a member of the Supreme Council of the then-ruling Grand National Party(prcdccessor of the Liberty Korea Party). She was the Grand National Party's nominee for the 20 l l Seoul mayoral election. She was voted as the most respected politician by the millennial generation in 2016.

Also, as the Member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics International, and a former Governing Board Member of the International Paralympic Committee Leader Na is active in promoting the rights of disabled people and advancing human rights.

Leader Na received her LL.B.(1986) and LL.M.(l 989) from Seoul National University. After passing the Nat.ional Jucjicial Examination i.n 1992, she served as a Judge in various courts.
