Citation This Order may be cited as the Declaration of Public Roads and Width of Public Roads Order. 2. Establishment and declaration of public roads The roads described in the Schedule hereto are established and declared as public roads. 3. Width of road The width of every road described in the Schedule hereto shall be 30,5 metres on either side of the general run of the road. SCHEDULE Description District Distance in kilometres RAMATLABAMA-LOBATSE Southern South 48,9 East Commencing at the Botswana-South Africa border at Ramatlabama and ending at the southern boundary of Lobatse Township as shown on Plan BP225 deposited with the Director of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. LOBATSE-GABORONE South East 65,50 Copyright Government of Botswana ("MAIN ROAD") Leaving the statutory township boundary of Lobatse on the western side of the railway and entering the remainder of the farm Knockduff No. 6-JO at a point being approximately 183 metres from its south-eastern beacon the road runs generally in a north-easte rly direction over the remainder of the said farm for a distance of approximately 3,5 kilometres leaving the remainder of the said farm and entering the remainder of the farm Moroekwe No. 4-JO at a point being approximately 91,4 metres of the south-eastern beacon; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction over the remainder of the farm Moroekwe No. 4-JO for a distance of approximately 8 kilometres leaving the remainder of the said farm and entering Portion 2 of the farm Quethiock No. 2-JO at a point being approximately 152,4 metres from its south-eastern beacon; thence continuing generally in a north-easterly direction over Portion 2 of the said farm for a distance of approximately 4,4 kilometres to a point on its northern boundary being approximately 487,7 metres from the north-eastern beacon of Portion 2 of the farm Quethiock No. 2-JO; thence entering the Bamalete Tribal Territory and continuing in a north-easterly direction over the Bamalete Tribal Territory for a distance of approximately 29 kilometres to a point being approximately 2,5 kilometres from the south-eastern beacon of Portion 8 of the farm Crocodile Pools No. 15-KO; thence continuing generally in a north-easterly direction over Portion 4, Portion 2 (Railway Strip) and Portion 3 of the said Crocodile Pools No. 15-KO for a total distance of approximately 5,9 kilometres to the southern-most beacon of farm No. 17-KO; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction along the eastern side of the western boundary of farm No. 17-KO for a distance of approximately 731,5 metres to a point being approximately 9,1 metres from its northern beacon; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction over the remainder of Forest Hill No. 9-KO, Portion 5 of Forest Hill No. 9-KO and the remainder of Forest Hill No. 9-KO for a total distance of approximately 4 kilometres to a point being approximately 61 metres from the western beacon of the remainder of Portion 1 of Forest Hill No. 9-KO; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction over the remainder of Portion 1 of Forest Hill No. 9-KO for a distance of approximately 3,8 kilometres to a point being approximately 396,3 metres from the northern beacon of the remainder of Portion 1 of the farm Forest Hill No. 9-KO on the common boundary between the latter farm and Lot 3498 Gaborone portion of Lot 1 Gaborone; thence into the statutory township of Gaborone, as will more fully appear on Plans BP 160b-160e filed in the Department of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. GABORONE WEST CROCODILE POOLS South East 12 Commencing at a point on the north western boundary of the Farm 9-KO 920 metres approximately northeast of the Railway Reserve and ending at a junction with the Gaborone Lobatse Road on Crocodile Pools farm as shown on Plan BP 231 as deposited with the Director of Surveys and Lands Gaborone. GABORONE-PILANE South East 34 STATION ("MAIN ROAD") Copyright Government of Botswana Commencing at a point on the northern boundary of Lot 2988 Gaborone portion of Lot 1 Gaborone which point being approximately 152,4 metres from the north-western beacon of Lot 2988 Gaborone the road runs generally in a north-easterly direction over the farm Broadhurst A No. 5-KO for a distance of approximately 3,8 kilometres to a point on Railway Strip No. 16-KO which point being approximately 1127,8 metres south of the existing level crossing; thence crossing Railway Strip No. 16-KO and entering the remain der of the farm Broadhurst B No. 4-KO approximately 1828,8 metres north of its southernmost beacon; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 2,8 kilometres over the remainder of the farm Broadhurst B No. 4-KO to a point being approximately 122 metres from the south-eastern beacon of the remainder of the farm Content No. 1-KO; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 4,9 kilometres to a point approximately 76,2 metres from the south-eastern beacon of Portion 1 of Content No. 1-KO; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction over Portion 1 of the farm Content No. 1-KO for a distance of approximately 3,8 kilometres to a point being approximately 76,2 metres from its north-eastern beacon on the Bakgatla Tribal Territory boundary; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction over the Bakgatla Tribal Territory for a distance of approximately 17,1 kilometres to Pilane Station, as will more fully appear on Plans BP 160e-g filed in the Department of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. PILANE STATION-MAHALAPYE Kgatleng 155,7 ("MAIN ROAD") From Pilane Station in a northerly direction to a point approximately 4 kilometres due north of Pilane in the Bakgatla Tribal Territory; thence in a north-easterly direction for approximately 25 kilometres to a point, the geographical co-ordinates of which are approximately Latitude 24° 11' CF South, Longitude 26° 12' CF East; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 24,1 kilometres to Mosomane (Artesia); thence continuing in a north-easterly direction on the western side of the existing north/south railway line for approximately 25,3 kilometres to a point on the boundary between the Bakgatla Tribal Territory and the Bamangwato Tribal Territory, the geographical co-ordinates of which are Latitude 23° 48' CF South, Longitude 26° 26' CF East; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction on the western side of the existing railway line through the Bamangwato Tribal Territory for a distance of approximately 55,1 kilometres to a point approximately 3,6 kilometres north of Dinokwe (Phala Road), the geographical co-ordinates of which are Latitude 23° 23' CF South, Longitude 26° 42' CF East; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction near to and parallel to the said north/south railway line to Mahalapye, which said road is more particularly delineated on Survey Plans Nos. BP 157( a), ( b), ( c), ( d), ( e), ( f) and ( g) filed with the Department of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. MAHALAPYE-PALAPYE Central 80,5 From Mahalapye in a north-westerly direction until it crosses the Mahalapye River, when the road swings near to and parallel to Copyright Government of Botswana the western railway boundary, continuing thus until 16 kilometres south of Palapye, when the road swings away from the railway line in a more north-westerly direction, and then back towards the railway line, which it meets at Palapye. PALAPYE-SERULE Central 132 From Palapye in a general northerly direction near to and to the west of the railway line through Dikabeya Siding, Topisi Siding, Moreomabele Siding, to the junction of the main north-south road with the Selibe-Phikwe road. SERULE-FRANCISTOWN Central 83,80 Commencing at the junction with the Selebi-Phikwe road at Serule and ending at the southern boundary of Francistown Township as shown on Plan BP. 226 deposited with the Director of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. FRANCISTOWN-RAMOKGWEBANA North East 75,50 Commencing at the northern boundary of Francistown Township and ending at the Botswana-Zimbabwe border at Ramokgwebana as shown on Plan BP 227 (Sheets 1 and 2) deposited with the Director of Surveys and Lands, Gaborone. PIONEER GATE-LOBATSE South East 6,8 ("MAIN ROAD") Leaving the border of the Republic of Botswana and the Transvaal Province of the Republic of South Africa and entering the farm Pumula No. 20-JO approximately 2,6 kilometres south of the north-easterly beacon of the farm Pumula No. 20-JO; thence in a north-westerly direction over Portion 5, Portion 1 and Portion 2 of the said farm Pumula No. 20-JO for a total distance of approximately 2,2 kilometres leaving the farm Pumula No.
