Scholarship Handbook Scholarship Handbook A complete listing of scholarships and grants 1 Introduction This scholarship handbook contains brief descriptions of the criteria currently employed by the various foundations and endowments that provide scholarships and research grants. Persons wishing to obtain additional information should consult the separate scholarship documents held at the Uppsala University scholarship office and the various student nations. Those documents include deeds of gift, wills and testaments, regulations, etc. Parenthetical information about the year in which a given donation was made to the University is included in the Scholarship Hand- book, which may be purchased in printed form at the scholarship office or obtained from the website of the Uppsala Academic Trust at www.uaf.se. The web-based version is to be regarded as an original and will be updated annually. Applications may be submitted for scholarships and research grants with regard to which notice of current availability has been made by the scholarship office or the relevant faculty, which no- tice would normally be made at the beginning of the autumn or spring term of the year in ques- tion. An asterisk (*) appears in the Scholarship Handbook after the name of any foundation pro- viding scholarships or research grants for which notice of availability is also made at any other university or institution of higher learning. Unless otherwise specified, application is only open to students/researchers at Uppsala University. Additional information about currently available scholarships, application processes, prerequisites, application forms and so on is available at the Uppsala University website at www.uu.se/Student as well as at the Uppsala Academic Trust’s website at www.uaf.se. Barring contrary provision, arrangements with regard to scholarship matters will be handled by the scholarship office and awards will be made by the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of recom- mendations by the scholarship board, which at present consists of 19 members, ten of whom are appointed by the Vice-Chancellor and nine of whom (one for each faculty) are appointed by the Student Union’s Board. Moore & Hartley (2008) road to successful implementation of innovations argue that the innovation process in the simplest form in the healthcare sector. The empirical context for can be simplified into two phases - the idea generation phase and the implementation phase - when they argue this paper is an innovation programme in the that innovation occurs only when new ideas and healthcare sector in the county of Dalarna in practices are carried through to implementation. • Porvoo Prayer Diary 2021
PORVOO PRAYER DIARY 2021 The Porvoo Declaration commits the churches which have signed it ‘to share a common life’ and ‘to pray for and with one another’. An important way of doing this is to pray through the year for the Porvoo churches and their Dioceses. The Prayer Diary is a list of Porvoo Communion Dioceses or churches covering each Sunday of the year, mindful of the many calls upon compilers of intercessions, and the environmental and production costs of printing a more elaborate list. Those using the calendar are invited to choose one day each week on which they will pray for the Porvoo churches. It is hoped that individuals and parishes, cathedrals and religious orders will make use of the Calendar in their own cycle of prayer week by week. In addition to the churches which have approved the Porvoo Declaration, we continue to pray for churches with observer status. Observers attend all the meetings held under the Agreement. The Calendar may be freely copied or emailed for wider circulation. The Prayer Diary is updated once a year. SUMMARY With the development of living standards of people, the need of proper wastewater treatment has become evident in order to protect the people health, society and environment. In 1980’s, traditional biological treatment methods such as activated sludge and trickling filter have been challenged by new technology called Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR). In 2007 and 2012, intermittent and continuous aerated MBBR facilities have been installed for treating municipal wastewater at the plants in Sweden, respectively. This study was performed in two wastewater treatment plants: continuously aerated Gagnef wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and intermittently aerated Tällberg WWTP located in Dalarna with the focus on process performance and identify the opportunities to reduce the energy consumption, chemical saving, possibilities in reducing excess sludge the and potential optimization of process. The experiment data (grab samples and flow proportional samples) were collected from both plants from the following samples stations: inlet, outlet of the treatment plant and upstream and downstream of MBBR reactor during May and August month.

The text discusses the “issue I of climate change in an unprecedented way and with a precision and approach that are impressive,” wrote a 37-year-old IT entrepreneur and father of young children after reading a draft of this bishops’ letter. The approach is obviously theological. God loves the world and wants it to be saved (the Gospel of John 3:16–17). In this project of love, we as humans play a special part that we can take on with Jesus as our role model and the Holy Spirit as our source of strength. A great deal has occurred regarding the climate issue in just over 10 years.

Apostolic Succession in the Porvoo Common Statement Unity through a deeper sense of apostolicity Erik Eckerdal Uppsala University Thesis 2017-08-01 Dissertation presented at Uppsala University to be publicly examined in Ihre-salen, Engelska parken, Uppsala, Friday, 22 September 2017 at 10:15 for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Faculty of Theology). The examination will be conducted in English. Faculty examiner: Professor Susan K Wood (Marquette University). Abstract Eckerdal, E. 2017. Apostolic Succession in the Porvoo Common Statement. Unity through a deeper sense of apostolicity. 512 pp. Uppsala: Department of Theology, Uppsala University. ISBN 978-91-506-2829-6. A number of ecumenical dialogues have identified apostolic succession as one of the most crucial issues on which the churches need to find a joint understanding in order to achieve the unity of the Church. When the Porvoo Common Statement (PCS) was published in 1993, it was regarded by some as an ecumenical breakthrough, because it claimed to have established visible and corporate unity between the Lutheran and Anglican churches of the Nordic-Baltic-British-Irish region through a joint understanding of ecclesiology and apostolic succession. The consensus has been achieved, according to the PCS, through a ‘deeper understanding’ that embraces the churches’ earlier diverse interpretations. In the international debate about the PCS, the claim of a ‘deeper understanding’ as a solution to earlier contradictory interpretations has been both praised and criticised, and has been seen as both possible and impossible. This thesis investigates how and why the PCS has been interpreted differently in various contexts, and discerns the arguments used for or against the ecclesiology presented in the PCS.
