NEW ISSUE BOOK-ENTRY-ONLY $223,355,000 TRIBOROUGH BRIDGE AND TUNNEL AutHORITY (MTA Bridges and Tunnels) General Revenue Bonds, Series 2007A DATED: Date of Delivery DUE: November 15, as shown on the inside cover The Series 2007A Bonds are being issued to finance bridge and tunnel projects. The Series 2007A Bonds – • are general obligations of MTA Bridges and Tunnels, payable generally from the net revenues collected on the bridges and tunnels operated by MTA Bridges and Tunnels as described herein, and • are not a debt of the State or The City of New York or any other local government unit. MTA Bridges and Tunnels has no taxing power. In the opinion of Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP, Bond Counsel to MTA Bridges and Tunnels, under existing law and relying on certain representations by MTA Bridges and Tunnels and assuming the compliance by MTA Bridges and Tunnels with certain covenants, interest on the Series 2007A Bonds is • excluded from a bondholder’s federal gross income under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, • not a preference item for a bondholder under the federal alternative minimum tax, and • included in the adjusted current earnings of a corporation under the federal corporate alternative minimum tax. Introduction At the start of the Covid-19 crisis a group of transportation engineers began working together, on a pro bono basis, to develop a transportation system that would provide an almost risk-free method of travel to Manhattan’s Central Business District (CBD – Manhattan south of Central Park). The impetus for this grouping was the realization that the city may face similar epidemics, a severe flu season, or other man-made or natural disasters in the future. Experience told the group that the two forms of transportation that are most risk-free from both infections and crashes are walking and bicycling. These “active transportation” options are also healthy modes that burn calories, and build muscle, bone, heart, and lung strength while improving mental and emotional health. From this discussion, the idea of a bicycle-pedestrian bridge was born. Importantly, these facilities would be equitable. Costs to use them would be a pair of shoes or a bicycle. Published by the South Brother Island Channel are advised of the following: East River Main Channel Lighted Buoy 5 has been established northeast National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of Rikers Island in 40°47'47"N., 73°51'59"W. to assure that no vessel National Ocean Service penetration of air space exists over that portion of the East River which Office of Coast Survey coincides with the glide path of the northeast-southwest runway of La Guardia Airport. Vessels with mast heights in excess of 125 feet shall www.NauticalCharts.NOAA.gov pass 100 yards to the north of this buoy so as to avoid interference with 888-990-NOAA the glide path. In East River the flood current sets eastward and the ebb sets westward. What are Nautical Charts? Note: this is the direct opposite of conditions in Long Island Sound where the flood is generally westward and the ebb eastward. Nautical charts are a fundamental tool of marine navigation. They show The velocity of current is 0.7 knot at Throgs Neck, 1.6 knots at Port water depths, obstructions, buoys, other aids to navigation, and much Morris, 4 knots in Hell Gate, 3 knots at Brooklyn Bridge, and 1.5 knots more. The information is shown in a way that promotes safe and north of Governors Island. In Hell Gate (off Mill Rock) the velocity is 3.4 efficient navigation. -

INNOVATIONS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS East River Bridges A $3.14 billion reconstruction program is underway to rehabilitate all four East River crossings. In 2005, these bridges carried some 498,213 vehicles per day. In 2002, working in coordination with the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies, the Division implemented enhanced security measures on these bridges. This work is ongoing. BROOKLYN BRIDGE The Brooklyn Bridge carried some 132,210 vehicles per day in 2005. The $547 million reconstruction commenced in 1980 with Contract #1, and will continue with Contract #6, currently in the design phase and scheduled for completion in 2013. This contract will include the rehabilitation of both approaches and ramps, the painting of the entire suspension bridge, as well as the seismic retrofitting of the structural elements that are within the Contract #6 project limits. Vulcan) 44 2006 BRIDGES AND TUNNELS ANNUAL CONDITION REPORT INNOVATIONS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS The fitting of the remaining bridge elements requiring seismic retrofitting will be carried out under a separate contract by the end of 2013. Work completed on the bridge to date includes reconditioning of the main cables, replacement of the suspenders and cable stays, rehabilitation of the stiffening trusses, and the replacement of the suspended spans deck. The next work scheduled for the bridge is a project to replace the existing travelers with a state of the art technology system. -

- Advertisement - Ken Green and A&P part ways October 2, 2005 Continuing its restructuring and downsizing, the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc., based in Montvale, NJ, ended its employment relationship with Ken Green, vice president of produce merchandising, as well as a number of other people at that level, on Monday, Sept. 26. Reached by The Produce News on Wednesday, Sept. 28, Mr. Green confirmed that he and A&P had "parted company on Monday after 40 years" with the firm. A&P declined to comment. Mr. Green said that he also was not at liberty to discuss the situation according to the terms of his severance agreement. The Produce News learned that numerous vice presidents of merchandising in charge of other departments were let go at the same time. Earlier in the month, A&P had announced another restructuring at the senior executive level. At that time, Bob Panasuk was replaced as senior vice president of merchandising by Stephen Slade. Mr. Panasuk had been the immediate boss of Mr. Green and the other vice presidents of merchandising who were let go on Sept. 28. A&P announced that move on Sept. 6, when Chief Executive Officer and President Eric Claus said of Mr. Panasuk, "We thank Bob for his contribution to A&P in the U.S. and Canada over the past 10 years, and wish him the best in his future endeavors. While Mr. Green would not comment on his specific situation, he said that it is common knowledge that A&P has downsized significantly in recent months. -

- Advertisement - A&P selling 120 stores in $600 million deal, files for bankruptcy protection July 20, 2015 The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time in five years. With 25 stores closing and approximately 120 being sold for $600 million, A&P will be losing nearly half of its current 296 stores. Ahold's Stop & Shop division will acquire 25 of the A&P stores in Greater New York for $146 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2015. At one time A&P, which operates in six states under the brand names A&P, Best Cellars, Food Basics, The Food Emporium, Pathmark, Superfresh and Waldbaum's, was the largest U.S. 1 / 2 supermarket chain with more than 15,000 stores. “After careful consideration of all alternatives, we have concluded that a sale process implemented through chapter 11 is the best way for A&P to preserve as many jobs as possible, and maximize value for all stakeholders,” Paul Hertz, president and chief executive officer of A&P, said in a press release. “The interest from other strategic operators has been robust during the company’s sales process to date, and we have every expectation that will continue in chapter 11. And while the decision to close some stores is always difficult, these actions will enable the company to refocus its efforts to ensure the vast majority of A&P stores continue operating under new owners as a result of the court-supervised process.
