Overview/ Objective TEKS OBJECTIVES

LESSON OUTLINE

(10 min – before bell) Students will walk into the gymnasium and begin their daily workout while showing self-responsibility as they will lead each other through the class workout.

(5 min) I will explain to the students what will take place during the days lesson and lead into the first activity. (1-2 min) I will model the steps and proper technique expected for students to follow when performing a layup and have them briefly think about and answer “When it would be best to perform a layup during a basketball game” before beginning the activity.

(3-4 min) Students will practice both right and left hand . (1-2 min) I will model the steps of a jumpshot and lay out my expectations for my students.

Anthony Carrizales Semester Fall (5-7 min) Through Cooperative Learning students will work with a partner and practice their jumpshot form through a constant moving activity that will help them practice their shooting with a defender guarding them, simulating a game like scenario. (About 10 min) I will have the students participate and practice when to use a layup and jumpshot during a simulated game of basketball that will place self- responsibility and ownership on them to make the correct choice during the simulated game. (10 Min) Students will dress out for next class.
