El presente estudio se desarrolló en el Cañón de la Peregrina, municipio de Victoria, Tamaulipas. El objetivo fue determinar la fauna de Galerucinae presente en la zona, además de analizar la variación altitudinal y estacional del grupo. Se realizaron 240 muestreos, donde se registraron 1,828 ejemplares distribuidos en 76 especies y 38 géneros. Se encontró que la abundancia disminuye y la diversidad aumenta conforme se incrementa el gradiente elevacional. La mayor riqueza se presentó en el matorral espinoso tamaulipeco. Invierno es la estación con mayor número de ejemplares; primavera registró el mayor número de especies, mientras que la diversidad fue mayor en verano. La escasa similitud existente entre sitios y estaciones sugiere un elevado recambio de especies. A numeric score is introduced to objectively describe confidence that a field observation of an interaction between a chrysomelid and a plant represents true herbivory. Literature host plant records, if they exist, are given for included chrysomelid taxa. The Arkansas endemic species list is updated to 121 species, including 16 species of millipedes. A study of the millipedes of Arkansas was undertaken, and resulted in the first checklist and key to all millipede species in the state. -

Furth National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., USA Abstract. The current state of knowledge of the diversity for Alticinae recorded from Mexico is taken from the histori- cal literature, determined specimens primarily in the U.S. National Museum, including material collected by the author, as well as from several other institutions. An Appendix is provided containing a list of generic and specific names re- corded from Mexico, including the known distribution for each species by Mexican state and the source for that infor- mation. There are 89 genera and 524 species currently known from Mexico. Although preliminary, this is a significant increase from the published literature. The Alticinae species diversity per Mexican state is also provided. Some discus- sion of the Mexican Alticinae biogeographic affinities is given. The following changes in status are made: Syphrea bibi- ana Bechyné = Nesaecrepida infúscala (Schaeffer); Palaeothona Jacoby is raised from synonymy with Lupraea Jacoby and considered valid; Varicoxa Bechyné = Luperaltica Crotch; Kitschelina gracilis Jacoby is raised from synonymy with K. laeta (Perbosc) and considered valid; Aphthona dimidiaticornis Jacoby, A. fulvipennis Jacoby, A. maculipennis Jacoby, A. mexicana (Jacoby), A. pallipes (Jacoby), A. semipunctata Jacoby, and A. substriata Jacoby are all considered to be in Centralaphthona Bechyné; Aphthona amulensis Jacoby = Genaphthona Bechyné; Aphthonajulvitarsis Jacoby = Gioia Bechyné; A. championi Jacoby = Lupraea. -
