Palabras clave: interacciones virtuales, performatividad, heteronormatividad, hombres bisexuales P á g i n a | 9 ABSTRACT In recent years, due to the Internet boom, and with this chats, a movement of men who aim to "talk" with other men for sexual relations has occurred. This is homoeroticism between men. In these interactions masculinities have been reconfigured; forging the construction of bisexual men. Given this situation, the research attempts to understand the positioning of these men in these conversations and what performances of bisexual masculinities are constructed by them, to understand their images, their behaviors, and identification or rejection of heterosexual and homosexual masculinities, and if these positions cause “cracks” in the heteronormativity. This is a study in applied linguistics. Its bases: textual genres and sociolinguistics - through queer linguistics. Also, gender studies and studies on sexuality, as well as ethnographic studies. In this way, Austin, Bakhtin, Bauman, Bucholtz and Hall, Butler, Carrara, Connell, Davies and Harre, Foucault, Giddens, Goffman, Hine, Louro, Moita Lopes, Ochs, Seffner and Wortham, among others, formed the theoretical bases. Therefore, applied linguistics was indisciplined, consisting of hybrid concepts in an attempt to make the approximation with the complexity of life in their senses of gender and sexuality. The corpus was formed by conversations, generated through virtual ethnography:

Mazza, Ph.D. University of Pittsburgh, 2009 This dissertation examines the citational use of the Judeo-Christian Bible in two sociopolitical debates within the United States: first, the debate over the abolition of slavery in the nineteenth century, and second, the contemporary debate over gay rights. This study incorporates two core theses. First, I argue that the contemporary religious right, in its anti-gay use of the Bible, is replicating the hermeneutical practices used by opponents of the abolitionist movement. My second thesis parallels the first: I argue that the contemporary activists who reclaim the Bible as a pro-gay instrument are standing in the same hermeneutical tradition as nineteenth-century Christian abolitionists.

As one would expect of an hourglass, these glass sculptures can be inverted to measure out time. This, though, is where convention ends, as these are filled with couscous, not sand. Unlike sand, couscous cannot measure time consistently and the inversion of any one of these five hourglasses results in a different measurement of time. In effect, they disorient any linear notion of temporality, raising the specter of Orientalism and its fantasy of a timeless East. Mehdi-Georges works in a diverse range of media including performance, sculpture, installation, and self-portraiture. Dealing with race, gender, sexuality, colonialism, identity, and representations of Islam and Catholicism, his work performs the instability in all these categories by critically complicating fantasies of “East” and “West” without relying on a mere binary reversal of meaning. Contextualizing his work within a larger history of Orientalism, my argument begins first with Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem “Ozymandias,” composed in 1817, followed by an analysis of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Orientalist paintings before leading to a concise discussion of contemporary Orientalism in art and art discourse. My analysis then circles back to the artist’s work to insist that Orientalism’s fantastical invocation of the East remains a disabling presence in the contemporary imaginary.
