Support for Local Early Childhood Education The NSW Government is committed to enriching every stage of a student's education, especially from the very beginning. That is why we have invested over $11 million to ensure preschool and day care centres across the state can improve their learning environments. Under the NSW Government's Quality Learning Environments (QLE) program, grants will fund improvements to physical spaces by enhancing the quality of the grounds and buildings of services. They can also be used to provide specialised educational programs for children to address identified educational needs. As always, the St George area never misses out. Local projects include: 1. South Hurstville Kindergarten- $13,636.36 for a natural sandpit. 2. Penshurst Long Day Care Centre- $13,640.00 for a natural timber dome branch climber. 3. Learning Link’s Preschool at Peakhurst- $13,435.00 for an outdoor garden space. 4. St Marks Preschool Kindergarten, South Hurstville- $10,008.00 to replace their glass security doors and install wind out windows. 5. Goodstart Early Learning Narwee- $9,367.32 for furniture in the preschool room, home corner furniture and outdoor equipment. 6. Arndu St Paul's Preschool- $6,254.54 for renovations to their play structure and renovation of their carpark fence. For more information on the QLE program, please click here.
