1897 SINGLE-USE PLASTICS BAN MR JAMIE PARKER to move— That this House: (1) Recognises urgent action is needed to reduce the large amount of plastic in oceans, rivers and the environment.

(2) Notes a number of other state and national jurisdictions have already banned single-use plastics and New South Wales is now the only state in without a ban on lightweight plastic shopping bags.

(3) Recognises many individuals and communities are taking action to avoid and reuse plastic in their daily lives.

(4) Supports a ban on single-use plastics in New South Wales.

1898 FIXING COUNTRY BRIDGES PROGRAM MR to move— That this House: (1) Commends the NSW Nationals in the Government for investing $500 million in the Fixing Country Bridges Program.

(2) Notes in the first round, Myall Lakes will see seven bridges replaced thanks to a $22.5 million investment.

(3) Notes in the first round, this program will replace more than 400 ageing bridges with safer and modern bridges that will better withstand natural disasters, and ease the burden of maintenance for local government councils and rate payers.

(4) Acknowledges the importance of country roads and bridges in keeping communities connected and allowing freight and local people to move safely within communities.

1900 EAST HILLS ELECTORATE - GREENING OUR CITY PROGRAM MS to move— That this House: (1) Notes the Canterbury Bankstown Council was awarded $479,000 through the Government's Greening Our City Program to plant 690 trees in its Local Government Area. (2) Acknowledges in the East Hills Electorate, trees will be planted at Killara Reserve, Playford Park, Kelso North Sports Precinct and in a number of local streets. (3) Recognises through this initiative, better and more liveable public spaces can be provided not only for today but for future generations. (4) Recognises this program supports the Premier's priority to plant one million trees by 2022.

1901 GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR LOCAL PROJECTS MS to move— That this House: (1) Condemns the Government for blatantly favouring held electorates in its administration of the $177 million Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund.

(2) Calls for a higher standard than the one the Premier and Deputy Premier have set that 'pork barrelling' is not illegal.

(3) Welcomes the Legislative Council Inquiry into Grants Administration in New South Wales and the never ending examples of overt 'pork barrelling' by the Government in the administration of billions of taxpayers dollars.

(4) Demands open and truly transparent merit based funding of taxpayers dollars for communities in New South Wales.

1902 CHRISTOPHER KANE - MUSWELLBROOK FIRE AND RESCUE CAPTAIN MR MICHAEL JOHNSEN to move— That this House: (1) Commends Captain Christopher Kane who recently retired from the NSW Fire and Rescue Muswellbrook Brigade after 45 years of service, including 27 years as Captain.

1904 GOULBURN ELECTORATE - GREATER CITIES AND REGIONAL SPORT FACILITY FUND MRS to move— That this House: (1) Notes the opportunity for the Goulburn Electorate to share in millions of sports facilities funding from the Government's Greater Cities and Regional Sport Facility Fund.

(2) Acknowledges the program will improve local sports facilities, active recreational spaces and enable more people to participate in sport and active recreation.

(3) Thanks the Government for its investment in the fund which will create and upgrade sport facilities in the Goulburn Electorate thanks to the two year program with $50 million available each financial year.

(2) Acknowledges the Government is investing a record $2 billion over four years into improving road safety for New South Wales motorists.

(3) Recognises the Government's $35 million funding into planning for the full duplication of Heathcote Road, which will improve motorists' safety.

(4) Acknowledges this funding is in addition to the $173 million to duplicate the 2.2 kilometre Holsworthy to Voyager Point section.

1913 NEWCASTLE LIGHT RAIL EXPANSION MR to move— That this House: (1) Notes Transport for NSW recently assessed the options for an expanded light rail network in Newcastle, with all options travelling west from Newcastle Interchange paraellel to the heavy rail line on Tudor Street. (2) Notes this area of Newcastle is experiencing significant redevelopment and if the future corridors are built out, this could greatly increase the cost of expanding the light rail network. (3) Urges the Minister for Transport and Roads to prioritise the preservation of light rail corridors in Newcastle before these opportunities are lost.

(2) Notes the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Bill 2019 (Cth) will result in the abolition of a standalone Family Court in New South Wales.

(3) Notes the proposed changes will directly impact families, parents and young children as they navigate the Federal Court system that is chronically under-resourced.
