Nella semifinale playoff le toscane, Camerin, Dentoni e Balsamo, sono andate a vincere in trasferta sul campo del Ct Mestre delle sorelle Mayr. Il Circolo Tennis Viterbo, che ha conquistato gli ultimi quattro scudetti e che per la sfida decisiva potranno contare anche sull'apporto di Francesca Schiavone, era stato promosso direttamente in finale dal torneo di qualificazione. I circoli TENNIS CLUB VITERBO Il Tennis Club Viterbo, fondato nel 1963, sorge in un'oasi di verde, in piena zona termale, alle porte della città. Dispone di 10 campi da tennis illuminati ed una piscina pre-olimpica che, durante l'inverno, vengono attrezzati con coperture pressostatiche, consentendo così l'attività anche nella stagione invernale. Oltre a consentire l'attività amatoriale, il T.C. Viterbo svolge una intensa attività agonistica, soprattutto giovanile, ed ha conquistato nel 2002 il titolo di Campione d'Italia B1 maschile e, per quattro volte di seguito dal 2006 al 2009, il titolo di Campione d'Italia di A1 femminile. Hanno vestito e vestono la maglia del Club atlete prestigiose come Francesca Schiavone, Tathiana Garbin, Flavia Pennetta e Anna Floris. TENNIS CLUB PRATO Trent’anni fa un gruppo di parmigiani decise che il tempo libero era diventato troppo importante e prezioso e Sulle colline pratesi, fra gli alberi secolari di Villa Imperiali Baciocchi, è situato il T.C. Prato, un bellissimo Club che, fin dalla sua affiliazione alla Federazione, risalente al 1976, si è distinto in ambito nazionale e internazionale per la vivacità e la piacevolezza della sua vita sociale, per la ricettività delle sue strutture sportive e per le capacità organizzative di manifestazioni di alto livello. Le protagoniste TENNIS CLUB VITERBO Francesca Schiavone (Milano, 23 giugno 1980) Numero 7 al mondo, è stata la prima giocatrice italiana a vincere una prova del Grande Slam sulla terra rossa di Parigi nell’ultima edizione degli Internazionali di Francia femminili. Impresa in campo maschile riuscita solo a Nicola Pietrangeli e Adriano Panatta. Quest’anno oltre alla prova del Roland Garros ha vinto altri tre WTA in singolare e sette in doppio, e ha conquistato per la terza volta con la nazionale italiana la Federation Cup, la Coppa Davis femminile. Per effetto della vittoria al Roland Garros del 5 giugno 2010 (in finale con Samantha Stosur, 6-4 7-6), dalla settimana successiva ha raggiunto il ranking numero 6 della Women's Tennis Association, il miglior piazzamento mai raggiunto da una tennista azzurra. Tathiana Garbin (Mestre, 30 giugno 1977), è numero 87 delle classifiche Wta. E’ stata campionessa italiana under 16 nel 1993. E’ entrata per la prima volta nella top- 100 nel 2000 quando ha conquistato il suo (finora) unico titolo WTA, a Budapest battendo in finale Kristie Boogert 6-2 7-6. Il suo miglior risultato in una prova del Grande Slam è il 4° turno al Roland Garros nel 2007 (sconfitta dalla Vaidisova), oltre al 3° turno, raggiunto in 5 occasioni (Australian Open 2007, Roland Garros 2000- 2004-2006, US Open 2000). In due occasioni è stata capace di vincere contro una giocatrice nelle top-10. Nel torneo di Indian Wells del 2001 eliminò al secondo turno Monica Seles (n°4 del mondo in quel momento). Al Roland Garros del 2004 sconfisse clamorosamente al 2° turno l'allora n°1 del mondo Justine Henin per 7-5 6-4 (anche se Justine non stava del tutto bene quel giorno). La migliore posizione ottenuta in classifica è il n°22, raggiunta per la prima volta il 21 maggio 2007. Anna Floris (Cagliari 15 maggio 1982), la miglior giocatrice sarda di tutti i tempi, è numero 162 delle classifiche Wta. Quest’anno è stata finalista all’Itf di Monteroni Valentina Sulpizio (18 agosto 1984) è numero 517 delle classifiche Wta. TENNIS CLUB PRATO Maria Elena Camerin (Motta di Livenza, 21 marzo 1982). E’ numero 111 delle classifiche Wta. Sinora non ha vinto titoli in singolo nel circuito WTA, ma ne ha vinti tre in doppio, nel 2005 a Canton (Cina) e a Tashkent (Uzbekistan) e nel 2006 a Cincinnati (USA), Ha ottenuto la sua vittoria più eclatante nel 2° turno del torneo di Bali del 2004, quando sconfisse l'allora n° 2 del mondo, e fresca vincitrice del Roland Garros, Anastasia Myskina per 6-3 1-6 6-2.La sua posizione più alta in classifica WTA è stata la 41a, raggiunta nell'ottobre del 2004. Corinna Dentoni (Pietrasanta, 30 luglio 1989) è una delle più promettenti tenniste italiane. E’ numero 150 delle classifiche Wta. Si allena al Tennis Club Milano "A. Bonacossa" seguita da Laura Golarsa. Darya Kustova (29 maggio 1986) è una tennista bielorussa, numero 161 delle classifiche Wta. Nel 2008 partecipò al arrivando alle semifinale persa contro Andrea Hlavackova e Lucie Hradecka poi vincitrici del titolo. Elisa Balsamo (Pontedera, 12 agosto 1983).
