The approximately 5,200 m² inclined media facade consists of 1,100 glass elements, which are fitted with 40,000 LEDs. The glass surfaces are partly transparent and partly translucent and backlit from the façade cavity. The ventilation of the cavity is effected by 1.3 m x 3 m wide top-hung windows with actuators developed by GIG. The lights behind the glass panes can be controlled individually, so the appearance can continuously be varied in both brightness and colour mix. The architecture of the centre has been awarded several prizes.
