Deeds of Separad ion Allowances Reduction Bill- A Bill to make temporary provision for empowvering the Supreme Court to reduce the amount of periodical payments secured to any wife by mny deed of separation. Introduced in the Legislative Council by Hon. J. Nicholson, 17th November, 1031. Received in the Assembly, 2nd December and defeated on the same day on motion by 'Mr. Parker that the second reading be made an order of the day for the next sitting.

Financial Fmcmrgeney Act Amendment Bilt- A Bill to aniend Sections 14, 15, and 22 of the Financial Emergency Act, 1931. Introduced by the Attorney General (Ron. T. A. L. Davy), 24th November, 193,1. Received in the Council 3rd December, 1981. The Council amended Clause 2 by striking out the paragraphs to make it certain that every order had the effset of varying an award so far as everyone thereby bound was concerned, and giving discretion to the court in limiting the extent of the order. The Assembly de- clined to agree to the Council's amendments and the amendments were referred to a conference. The conference managers failed to agree.

Secession Ref eren dum Bil- A Bill to submit to a referendum a question in relation to the withdrawal of the State of Western Australia front the Federal Commonwealth, established under the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act (Imperial). Introduced by the Premtier (Ron. Sir James Mitchell), 18th November, 1981. The Bill was amended in the Assembly to provide for the inclusion of an additional question to be referred to the people relating to the holding of a Convention. Received in the Council, 1st December, 1931, The Bill was there amended to provide for thle taking of the referendum within six months of the passing of the Act. The Assembly declined to make the anmendnment and a conference followed. The conference managers failed to agree and thle Bill was lost.
