All heifers offered for sale are not warranted as breeders unless otherwise stated. Please note that ear numbers for all cattle must be given to the auctioneers on the re- spective entry forms supplied. All unentered cattle and those missing their turn in the ballot will be offered for sale at the end of the catalogued entries. No lots can leave the market without a ‘pass slip’ being issued by the main office Purchasers have two working days from time of sale to satisfy themselves that all docu- mentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within that time limit.     Texas 4-H Youth Development Program 4-H LIVESTOCK SKILL-A-THON CONTEST GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION 2019-2020 TEXAS 4-H ROUNDUP Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 Time / Location: Hildebrand Equine Complex OBJECTIVE The Livestock Skill-a-thon contest tests a 4-H member’s knowledge and comprehension of animal science and livestock management practices. The contest provides an opportunity for youth to gain and develop production livestock skills and life skills through a competitive environment. TEAM AND CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY 1. The contest is an Invitational (non-qualifying) Contest open to any eligible 4-H member in 6-12 grades. 2. Contest will be divided into Intermediate and Senior age divisions. 3. Teams consist of three or four members. In teams in which there are four members, all will compete, but the member receiving the lowest overall score will be automatically declared the alternate. The scores of the alternate will not be included in any of the team totals, but will be considered in making all individual awards. Teams consisting of three members will have no alternate and all members’ scores will count in determining individual and team awards. 4. Teams or individuals who have competed in the North American International Livestock Exposition, which is the designated National 4-H Contest for Livestock Skill-a-thon are not eligible to compete in State 4-H Roundup. Lesson One The Belted Galloway Society, Inc. welcomes you as a Junior Member. Junior membership is a gateway to all things Belted Galloway wherein you will be able to register, transfer and enjoy all the rights and privileges of full membership with the exception of voting. It is a perfect fit for young Belted Galloway Cattle enthusiasts to learn and participate. The Belted Galloway Junior Association operates under the Belted Galloway Foundation, Inc. The Belted Galloway Foundation, Inc. is a non- profit corporation created to engage in educational and scientific activities dedicated to the improvement of Belted Galloway cattle breed production and marketing practices, and encouraging youth involvement in beef production. The seven member Foundation Board of Directors consists of the two most recent past presidents of the Belted Galloway Society plus the current chair of the Society’s Long-Range Planning, Chatfield Scholarship Fund and Fundraising Committees. The Foundation is a separate, autonomous corporation that is entirely supported by fundraising. Those who donate money or articles of value to support the Foundation and its programs enjoy the same tax benefits afforded those persons who donate to any charitable organization.
