Der Weg nach Rio de Janeiro führt über Hamm. Das mag geografisch nur bedingt gelten, aber im Tischtennis derzeit absolut. Für die besten deutschen und europäischen Tischtennisspieler wird am 15. und 16. Juli sozusagen Rio „simuliert“. Ob Boden, Tische oder Bälle: Beim letzten Einzel-Wettkampf vor dem Abflug an die Copacabana wird alles so sein wie später beim Olympischen Tischtennisturnier. Hochklassiges Tischten- nis sind wir in Hamm gewohnt. Regelmäßig richtet der TTC GW Bad Hamm Spiele und Turniere der deutschen Nationalmannschaft aus. Dieses Turnier mit dem Feld aus Welt- Ich bedanke mich beim TTC GW Bad Hamm klasse-Spielern ist aber auch für eine Tisch- und den zahlreichen Helferinnen und Hel- tennis-Hochburg wie Hamm etwas ganz fern für die Ausrichtung dieses Turniers der Besonderes.
