Fourteen Miles on the Erie Canal

Established in 1989, the Colonial Belle is a family owned and operated business. This peaceful 2 hour cruise features an animated, historical narration. We travel westward from Fairport to Pittsford and will travel through one lock. A basket lunch will be provided aboard the boat. We depart and travel to Canandaigua and visit and Mansion. A 50-acre Historic State Park. On the way home we will stop in Geneva at Ponderosa for a dinner stop (on your own). Price: $106 per person

Today we will board the ferry at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ on a trip to one of the world’s most famous landmarks – the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This historic National Monument, originally conceived as an emblem of the friendship between the people of France and the U.S. and a sign of their mutual desire for liberty, and has become our symbol of Freedom.

Feel free to bring refreshments (no glass please). There will be a rest stop on the way with a dinner stop (on your own) on our return home.

Intrepid & Circle Line Cruise Saturday, July 29

Our first stop will be the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum where we will enjoy our boxed lunch in the ship’s galley. This museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CVS-11), one of the most successful ships in US history, and now a national historic landmark and one of the most unique attractions in New York City. Next, we will walk on over to Circle Line Cruises where we will take an hour and a half long boat ride including a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty. Strong Museum/ Eastman Mansion Rochester, NY Tuesday, August 8th

The Strong is a highly interactive, collections- based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play. It is one of the largest history museums in the United States and one of the leading museums serving families. Included is a visit to the butterfly garden as well as a $15 luncheon voucher. We will then travel to the George Eastman Mansion for a guided tour that includes both the mansion and the beautiful gardens. The George Eastman Museum is located in Rochester, New York, on the estate of George Eastman, the pioneer of popular photography and motion picture film.

Above and Beyond the Tuesday, August 22nd

First stop will be the gorgeous overlook and visitor’s center in Welsboro; at the top of the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. The PA Canyon area stretches for over 45 miles with depths of nearly 1500 feet. Afterwards we will be heading downtown for a delicious hot-served- meal at Timeless Destinations. And to add to the adventure, after lunch we will be taken below the Grand Canyon in a horse-drawn, covered wagon. Its dynamic topography creates many scenic wonders, including steep canyon walls and waterfalls. The sight will not be able to accommodate those individuals requiring wheel-chair assistance. Fire & Ice RR Tour Tuesday, September 12th

We will travel to White Mills, PA for a guided tour, of the new Dorflinger Factory & Museum. The museum houses an extensive collection of glass produced by the Dorflinger Factory here in the late 1880s to 1900s. After the tour, we will be eating a complimentary buffet-style luncheon on the lower level of the sight. We will depart and board the Stourbridge RR line in Honesdale, PA heading to Hawley & back travelling along the Laxawaxen River. After will be a dinner on your own at Binghams Restaurant in Kingsley, PA. There will be a rest stop on the way to White Mills.

Letchworth State Park

Travel with us today for a guided fall foliage tour of . Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern US. The roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. We visit the Little League World Museum & Complex in Williamsport, PA. Enjoy time to tour the museum on your own with free audio tour guides available. Additional tours available, weather Courtesy of Little League Baseball and Softball. permitting. A complimentary, cafeteria style lunch will be provided at “The Grove,” the area where, during the Little League World Series, all the players and coaches reside for their stay. Next will be a visit to Clyde Peeling’s Reptileland where a 6,500 square foot exhibit gallery houses reptiles & amphibians in naturalistic habitats. Included is an outdoor display featuring life-size automated dinosaurs. Returning home we will stop at Fry Brothers Turkey Ranch Restaurant in Trout Run, PA (meal on own). QVC Studio Park Tour

Since opening in the fall of 1997, QVC Studio Park in West Chester, PA has become a popular destination for thousands of visitors interested in seeing live television at its best. The QVC Studio Tour is a one-of-a-kind guided walking tour through the fantastic world of multimedia retailing. At this state-of-the-art broadcasting facility, guests will see and experience how QVC products are sourced, tested, brought to life on air, and delivered to millions of QVC customers. There are views into QVC’s more than 58,000 square feet of studio space, including a spectacular view from the Observation Deck where guests may be able to watch QVC programs in progress and may even catch a glimpse of a favorite host or guest. Philadelphia Flower Show & Longwood Gardens March 14 - 15

March 14th: The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral creations. From towering windmills, wooden shoes and delectable cheeses, to the whimsical bicycles, canals and vibrant tulip fields of the iconic Dutch landscape, the 2017 Flower Show will share the diverse stories of horticulture, innovative eco-design, and modern urban greening and sustainability efforts of the Netherlands. Day One, Monday, September 25th Welcome to the sandy beaches of Cape Cod. We will be staying at the Blue Rock Resort. There are no elevators on this property. If you are unable to do stairs please let us know. A welcome reception will be held in your honor. Then we are off with our guide to tour the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. Dinner tonight with musical entertainment is included at the Riverway Restaurant.

Day Two, Tuesday, September 26th Breakfast. Full day touring going all the way to the tip of Cape Cod. A local guide will join us for the entire day. View the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod lighthouse, and the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center and more. We will visit the Pilgrim Monument & Museum. You will have the luxury of choosing between a guided Whale Watching Tour or a guided Dune Buggy Tour. Dinner tonight is Lobster followed by a birthday dance party.

Day Three, Wednesday, September 27th Breakfast. A local guide will conduct a tour of Hyannis and Hyannis port including the John F. Kennedy memorial, St. Francis Xavier church and more! Before heading home, we depart Cape Cod and make our way to Carver, MA. Here you will visit the Flax Pond Cranberry Farm.

General Information Tour Cost Includes Transportation via deluxe, air-conditioned, lavatory equipped motor coach. Motel/hotel accommodations with private bath, sightseeing, admissions, and guide fees as in the itinerary, charge for handling one piece of luggage; all taxes pertaining to included features of the tour. Price does not include meals, unless specified, valet, laundry, phone calls or other personal expenses. Responsibility Swarthout Tours and/or its solicitors act solely as agents in arranging for hotel/motel accommodations, sightseeing and all other services and does not assume any liability for injury, damage, accident or delay due to any act or default of any company or person engaged in or rendering any other service, or carrying out arrangements for any tour, or by servant. Swarthout reserves the right to change or modify the itinerary as circumstances may require, to cancel any tour prior to departure upon full refund of all monies paid and, if necessary, to change hotels/motels by substitution of equal or superior accommodations. Procedures for Reservations On all trips, an advance reservation must be made by calling or stopping by our office. Departure Locations Departure time and departure locations will be designated on itineraries for each specific trip. Also note departure locations are listed in this brochure. Canadian Immigration Passengers must carry proof of citizenship—an Enhanced Driver’s License, passport or visa—to enter Canada. If you do not have proper ID, you will be turned away before departing the departure location. In that case, there will be no refund. Special Services It is the intent of Swarthout Tours to comply fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In order to ensure the arrangement of proper services, we request advance notification and specific identification of the special needs of all customers no later than the date of full payment. We are not liable for the failure of suppliers of travel or other services to comply with their own requirements under ADA.

Gratuities A large part of the success of a tour is due to our drivers and escorts. If you wish to show appreciation to your driver and escort, we suggest you do it voluntarily and compensate them for the courtesy and services rendered. Smoking & Alcohol There will be no smoking or alcohol on any Swarthout Tour bus. Your cooperation and understanding on this matter is greatly appreciated. Our travel plans always include stops for rest and relaxation with opportunities for smoking. Seating Seats will be assigned at the time of full payment from front to rear, unless otherwise requested. Payments Cash, Check, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard and Discover or debit cards are accepted. If paying by check, make payable to Swarthout Tours. Your seat is not secured until payment is received. Day-Trips Must be paid in full when you make your reservation. Multi-Day Trips Require a $100.00 deposit per person with the balance paid 60 days prior to the trip. After full payment has been received, boarding passes and luggage tags will be sent by mail or issued at our office. Refunds Should Swarthout Tours cancel a trip due to lack of reservations your money will be promptly refunded. Swarthout Tours is not responsible; however, for any costs such as those occurring due to missed reservations with theater or sporting event tickets that you may have purchased on your own or purchased by Swarthout Tours on your behalf. There are no refunds or exchanges on Broadway shows, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden or any other sporting event that we are unable to attend due to acts of God, weather, traffic, war, terrorism, strikes, etc., beyond the control of Swarthout Tours. Cancellations Customer cancellations for One-Day tours are NON- REFUNDABLE *Multi-day tours cancelled by customers 45-60 days prior to the trip will be assessed a $50.00 fee per person plus any non-refundable money paid out on your behalf. *Multi-day tours cancelled by customers 31-44 days prior to the trip will be assessed 40% per person plus any non-refundable money paid out on your behalf. *Multi day tours cancelled by customers 1-30 days prior to the trip are non refundable, unless we can sell your seat.
