Our hosts as well as consulting with experts in cooking or famous hair stylists, have a chat with a toolmaker and receive an advice from business psychologist. When the long-expected guest finally arrives – he will be more than surprised! All his problems are solved! The hosts of Net Dandies have decided to step into this bizarre world and explore it. They will discuss the top news and events occurring on the internet and the reaction of its inhabitants to such events. In each episode host of the program will have a guest, such as economist, historian, writer, philosopher etc. in other words a person whose opinion matters and is interesting for the society in general. Throughout the whole program audience has an opportunity to witness participation of the guest in the discussion of the topics and hear his opinion. Web-cam stands for a mean by which the host will contact specialists in arts or entertainment with a view of receiving a professional opinion in respect of events currently taking place in the world of fashion, art. These professionals are represented by the columnists of columnists of the program. Moreover, bloggers that have received majority of the votes on the program’s website become All the main events in the Internet – flash-mobs, exhibitions, clips – will be discovered and discussed. The jury evaluates every performance on the scale from one to ten points. Two duets with the least score are ad by the TV audience, and one of them eventually leaves the project.

    Irene Galitzine (1916-2006) Biography Irene Galitzine is the fashion's Princess and celebrity known in all over the world. Italian by adoption, the Princess was born in an ancient Prince Galitzine family, whose origins date to 1200. Her father is Boris Galitzine (1878–1958), an officer of the Czar, and her mother is Nina Lazareff (1888–1957). The family was forced to exile by the October 1917 Russian Revolution. But due to good connections of Nina Kovaldji with Italian ambassador in Russia they soon reached Italy, and together with other fugitives, Irene came to live at the Grand Hotel of Frascati. She grew up in Rome educated like a girl of Roman aristocracy. In 1945 Irene begun to work in the Sorelle Fontana atelier that nowadays plays a significant role in the international fashion area. Two years after Irene opened her own atelier and therefore, in 1958, inspired by French and Italian haute- couture, Balenciaga and Dior, she created her own models of dresses. Following years Irene had been working out a wide range of styled clothes and in 1961 the first Galitzine boutique was opened in Milan, in Via Montenapoleone, within the Elisabeth Arden store. Since 90s years of XX century, the designer begun visiting her home country Russia giving lessons in fashion science to students from Moscow State University on her mother tongue. In 1996 the first Galitzine boutique in Moscow was opened in Pushkin place. That year Irene published her biography entitled “From Russia to Russia”. Irene died in 2006 in her residence in Rome being 90 years old.

Prince of Imperial Blood Oleg Konstantinovich was opened in Tsarskoye Selo September 29, in Tsarskoye Selo, in the territory of the St. Sophia Cathedral was inaugurated a monument to the son of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich - Prince Oleg Konstantinovich, who participated in the First World War and was mortally wounded during a battle, and died a few days later. He gave his life for the Faith, Tsar and Fatherland. The monument is made on the initiative of the Fund Ludvig Nobel. The location for the monument is well chosen and not at all accidental. St. Sophia cathedral was the regimental church of the Life-Guard Hussar Regiment, in which served Prince Oleg. The sculpture is not entirely new, as it is cast after the pre-revolutionary model by the sculptor Vsevolod Lishev. Anna Yakovleva, Ludvig Nobel Foundation: "The sketch of the monument was designed by sculptor Lishev in 1915. But after the events that followed, it could not be put, but it was casted. By the way, the sketch was approved by the father of Oleg Konstantinovich." The new monument is made by sculptor Yaroslav Borodin.     jukka gronow and sergey zhuravlev Fashion Meets Socialism Fashion industry in the Soviet Union after the Second World War Studia Fennica Historica THE FINNISH LITERATURE SOCIETY (SKS) was founded in 1831 and has, from the very beginning, engaged in publishing operations. It nowadays publishes literature in the fields of ethnology and folkloristics, linguistics, literary research and cultural history. The first volume of the Studia Fennica series appeared in 1933. Since 1992, the series has been divided into three thematic subseries: Ethnologica, Folkloristica and Linguistica. Two additional subseries were formed in 2002, Historica and Litteraria. The subseries Anthropologica was formed in 2007. In addition to its publishing activities, the Finnish Literature Society maintains research activities and infrastructures, an archive containing folklore and literary collections, a research library and promotes Finnish literature abroad.     Part 1: News Analysis Issue 24 (2008) June 6-12, 2008 Russia reasserted itself in the ongoing competition for Turkmen energy resources this week. At an informal CIS summit over the weekend in St. Petersburg, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov met first with Russian President Medvedev in a visible nod to Turkmenistan’s leading trade partner. The Russian leader agreed to come to Ashgabat July 4-5, and expressed confidence that an agreement would be reached by then on the market price for Turkmenistan’s gas exports to Russia in 2009. President Berdymukhamedov’s willingness to meet with a wide variety of suitors, and the all-importance of his personal clearance, means that the Turkmen government’s diplomacy is a kind of blank slate upon which to write foreign aspirations. While the West continues to hope that Turkmenistan will cooperate with alternative plans for energy supply, at their meeting the Russian and Turkmen presidents discussed the construction of a new Caspian-coast gas pipeline and the modernization of the existing Central Asia-Center gas pipeline, both Russian-dominated projects. Turkmenistan didn’t move any further toward full-fledged membership in the CIS, but President Berdymukhamedov said more active participation was in order, and proposed organizing a CIS agro-industrial exhibition, given concerns about world food security. Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, who last week failed to get a meeting with President Berdymukhamedov, spoke critically at an energy conference in France this week about the West’s rush to court Caspian leaders, which he said would only drive prices up. In a draft version of his press release leaked to Dow Jones, Miller blasted Turkmenistan for not really having the hydrocarbon reserves to meet all its customers’ needs, a charge he refrained from making publicly.
