    München 3. – 6. mars 2016. Generell informasjon. München München er i manges øyne Tysklands egentlige hovedstad. Denne viktige og storslåtte kulturbyen i Bayern har et enormt tilbud innen kunst, arkitektur, musikk og kultur, blant annet flere museer i verdensklasse. Mange av severdighetene befinner seg i og rundt Münchens sjarmerende Altstadt, som ligger ved elven Isar. München er dessuten verdenskjent for sin folkefest og øl- festival Oktoberfest, som arrangeres hver høst. Mer om München München har et enormt omfang. Sentrum er i liten grad belemret med høyhus. Mye av arkitekturen er klassisistisk, oppført på 17- og 1800-tallet. München kan også by på strålende barokk og rokokko-arkitektur. Utenfor bykjernen finner du severdigheter som Schloss Nümphenburg, Olympiapark og Münchens «Hollywood», Bavaria Filmpark. Oktoberfest arrangeres i en egen bydel, Theresienwiese, på en slette omgitt av Bavariaring, en racerbane fra år 1903(!), som hver høst i september og oktober omgjøres til et enormt drikkegilde. Øl er viktig i Bayern og München – du finner to klassiske ølhaller med hager – Biergartens – i Altstadt, Hofbräuhaus og Augustinerbräu. Flere kjempemessige, provisoriske bygninger tas i bruk som ølhaller, i tillegg til at det rigges digre øltelt. München er med sine 1,3 millioner innbyggere, Tysklands tredje største by, etter Berlin og Hamburg. Litt om Altstadt og middelalderen I Altstadt finner du Münchens levende og pulserende bysenter, med blant annet det meget livlige ferskvaremarkedet Viktualienmarkt, og en mengde åpne plasser der folk samles på en av de mange uteserveringene.
