On this day, we are asked to reflect upon and affirm the essential role of the priesthood in the life of the Church. MIKE Prayer - Hospitality - Service - Faith Formation School News Seeking Volunteers We would like to thank all of those who have volun- teered so far to help clean and sanitize the church after services, but we are still needing a few more hands for special occasions such as the funerals. If you are usually free in the late mornings between 11:00 and 12:00, that is the normal times when the funeral is over and people have left the building, we need a group of people we can call on that would be available during weekdays to help with sanitizing the church after such an occasion. Please call the Parish Office, 222-2759. Mrs. Kerkhoff’s kindergarten students gathered items in nature and made their own John Wood Community College bird’s nests as part of their science curriculum. Students and Tutors The Adult Volunteer Literacy program at JWCC offers free GED, reading, and math classes and tutoring for people at least 17 years old who are not in school. Tutors are given thorough, free training and are carefully matched with their students. Sometimes lasting friendships result. If you know of someone who would like to earn their GED or if you would like to fulfill that goal for yourself to increase your success in the job market, please consider contacting JWCC. If you are interested in helping others by volunteer- ing to tutor others once or twice a week, either virtually or in person, in reading, math or learning English, please contact JWCC.
