There will be 2 collections this year to help fund the World Meeting of Families which takes place in Dublin next August. The first is this weekend. Pope Francis has chosen Ireland for the World Meeting of Families 2018. Join us. Be a volunteer. Celebrate the joy of love with families from across the world. John Paul II Awards in Corlough Templeport Parish The Awards were created to commemorate the late Pope John Paul II. Through these Awards young people will be enabled to take an active part in the life of their Church, in the life of their community and society. The awards are for young people between the ages of 16 and 18 years of age who have completed their Junior Certificate. The Awards are non-competitive, flexible and voluntary. A talk on the John Paul II Awards took place on Monday 19th February in St Mogue’s Secondary school to TY and 5th Year students. If any students or parents from Corlough Templeport Parish are interested in finding out more and/or participating in these Awards let Fr Phair know.

Templeport Gun-Club Game Night in Keepers Arms, Saturday 3rd March at 8:00pm. There will be a variety of dishes to sample on the night. Also Music, Farmers draw, Charity Hamper Raffle and Annual Fundraising Draw with €800 in prizes. All Welcome.

Line Dancing: Classes will continue in Corlough Community Centre on Wednesday 28th February at 8pm. At the request of the Line Dancing tutors and in compliance with Safeguarding of Children, all children must be accompanied by an adult. All welcome.

Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care Fund gratefully acknowledge receipt of donation of €970 from Templeport Parish, towards their Patient Comfort Fund, which facilitates families to care for their loved ones at home.

Club Coaching meeting/workshop Meeting of all coaches male and female will be held on Saturday 3rd March from 6.30pm to 7.30pm Patsy Maguire, Aisling Doonan and County coaching officer will follow up on the technical and physical development of our games and what each age group should be doing. This is essential as we want each player male and female to get the coaching appropriate to their level of development. There will also be a code and foundation course organised for all coaches. St. Aidan's Celebration of 50 year and 40year wins. - 1968 Junior Championship win, the 1977 Intermediate Championship win 2017 Minor league winners and the Newly Weds at a function in The Slieve Russell on Sunday 18th March-- St Patrick's Bank Holiday weekend. Aodhan O Fearaill will be present at the function. A big night to start off 2018. Full details later. Meeting on Thursday 1st March - Club meeting at 8.30pm to finalise the programme. Charity Match Raffle raised €400 and this was divided €200 each to The Templeport Day centre Social services committee and the Breffni Care Centre patients comfort fund in Ballyconnell. Templeport ladies are holding a very important meeting to set up teams and coaches for underage games starting in mid March. All coaches and parents involved and helping with u11, u12, u14, U15 and U16 are asked to attend on Tuesday 27th February in Clubrooms at 8.30pm. We have to go through our numbers and which levels we can participate. We must have coaches at each team or else we cannot participate. Hope to see a good turnout. Templeport ladies are going better each year so let's keep going.
