The dominant canopy species is pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), with beech (Fagus sylvatica), ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and european larch (Larix decidua) also present. The subcanopy is mainly formed by hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), holly (Ilex aquifolium) and crab apple (Malus sylvestris). The sparse shrub layer consists of Calluna vulgaris, Cytisus scoparius, Ulex europaeus and Juniper communis.
