Enjoy an outdoor quilt show featuring The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™ local artists. MAY: Jani Hicks Jani studied drawing, intaglio and lithography, and for the past 35 years she has taught in several schools districts in the Willamette Valley where she has helped schools with fund- raising projects via the arts. She is represented by the Imprint Gallery at Cannon Beach and teaches printmaking in their newly remodeled studio. Jani's work is included in the Collec- tions of the Gilkey Graphic Arts at the Portland Art Museum, the Anchorage Museum and the Multnomah County Library.

JUNE: This show, entitledAl Bernstein BLACK BUTTE STARSCAPES, is a visual essay on the beauty of the Ranch under the stars. If you are up, you can see Al lurking around the Ranch with photo equipment in the dead of night, or in the daytime, walking with his wife, Luahna and their Chocolate Lab, Mocha, or playing in one of the pools with their grandchildren. Gradually he found himself more and more immersed in the delicate wildlife and floral paintings for which he is now so recognized. His works have received national attention. Two of Zylius' watercolors hang in the permanent collection at the Roberts Field airport terminal in Redmond, OR.

The pools at Black Butte Ranch are open to owners and registered guests. There are limited life- guards on duty, so please swim with a buddy and obey posted signs. Persons under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Kids are welcome at the pool after 10am (unless enrolled in a swim- ming program). Only persons over 18 may be present at the pool during adult swim hours. Children 6 years and younger may not use the hot tub, steam room or sauna. Lawn furniture may not be reserved, and is available on a first come/first served basis.
