Confessions of Fire Cam'ron Free Mp3 Download Cam'ron confessions of fire cam'ron free mp3 download Cam'ron. Cameron Ezike Giles (born February 4, 1976 in Harlem, New York), better known as Cam'ron or Killa Cam, is an American rapper, actor, co- founder of Diplomat Records and of the group The Diplomats, also known as Dipset. He began his musical career in 1994, rapping alongside Big L, Mase and his cousin Bloodshed in a group called Children of the Corn. The group dissolved after Bloodshed's death in a car accident in 1997. However, Cam'ron continued to rap, and he released his solo debut album, Confessions of Fire, in 1998. He has since released 2000's S.D.E, 2002's Come Home With Me, 2004's Purple Haze, 2006's Killa Season and 2009's Crime Pays. Cam'ron made his acting debut on the 2002 film Paid in Full, where he played the character Rico, who is based on former Harlem drug dealer Alpo. In 2006, Cam'ron would return to his acting career and make his debut in screen writing in his movie Killa Season. Cam'ron plays a high school basketball player who eventually drops out of high school to begin his own drug ring. The movie was released in 2006, simultaneous with the Killa Season album. Confessions of Fire. Following in the footsteps of Sean "Puffy" Combs, Cam'ron created an accessible fusion of rap and pop that manages to keep some sort of street edge. Of course, that doesn't mean Cam'ron is hardcore -- he may come off as an East Coast gangsta, but his music is polished and melodic, much like that of Puff, his mentor. He happens to be a better rapper than Puffy, but he doesn't have the pop flair that makes Combs' productions big hits. Still, he shows promise on his debut, Confessions of Fire. Although it has too many songs and some blend together, he shows potential as a charismatic rapper and there are enough strong singles, including "357" and "Horse & Carriage," to make it worth a listen for fans of East Coast popcore. • The Life & Rhymes of Jay-Z, an Historical Biography
ABSTRACT Title of Dissertation: THE LIFE & RHYMES OF JAY-Z, AN HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY: 1969-2004 Omékongo Dibinga, Doctor of Philosophy, 2015 Dissertation directed by: Dr. Barbara Finkelstein, Professor Emerita, University of Maryland College of Education. Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership. The purpose of this dissertation is to explore the life and ideas of Jay-Z. It is an effort to illuminate the ways in which he managed the vicissitudes of life as they were inscribed in the political, economic cultural, social contexts and message systems of the worlds which he inhabited: the social ideas of class struggle, the fact of black youth disempowerment, educational disenfranchisement, entrepreneurial possibility, and the struggle of families to buffer their children from the horrors of life on the streets. Jay-Z was born into a society in flux in 1969. By the time Jay-Z reached his 20s, he saw the art form he came to love at the age of 9—hip hop— become a vehicle for upward mobility and the acquisition of great wealth through the sale of multiplatinum albums, massive record deal signings, and the omnipresence of hip-hop culture on radio and television. In short, Jay-Z lived at a time where, if he could survive his turbulent environment, he could take advantage of new terrains of possibility. This dissertation seeks to shed light on the life and development of Jay-Z during a time of great challenge and change in America and beyond. THE LIFE & RHYMES OF JAY-Z, AN HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY: 1969-2004 An historical biography: 1969-2004 by Omékongo Dibinga Dissertation submitted to the Faculty of the Graduate School of the University of Maryland, College Park, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy 2015 Advisory Committee: Professor Barbara Finkelstein, Chair Professor Steve Klees Professor Robert Croninger Professor Derrick Alridge Professor Hoda Mahmoudi © Copyright by Omékongo Dibinga 2015 Acknowledgments I would first like to thank God for making life possible and bringing me to this point in my life.

  • A Study of the Rap Music Industry in Bogota, Colombia by Laura
The Art of the Hustle: A Study of the Rap Music Industry in Bogota, Colombia by Laura L. Bunting-Hudson Submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy under the Executive Committee of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY 2017 © 2017 Laura L. Bunting-Hudson All Rights Reserved ABSTRACT The Art of the Hustle: A Study of the Rap Music Industry in Bogota, Colombia Laura L. Bunting-Hudson How do rap artists in Bogota, Colombia come together to make music? What is the process they take to commodify their culture? Why are some rappers able to become socially mobile in this process, while others are less so? What is technology’s role in all of this? This ethnography explores those questions, as it carefully documents the strategies utilized by various rap groups in Bogota, Colombia to create social mobility, commoditize products and to create a different vision of modernity within the hip-hop community, as an alternative to the ideals set forth by mainstream Colombian society. Resistance Art Poetry (RAP), is said to have originated in the United States but has become a form of international music. In conducting ethnographic research from December of 2012 to October 2014, I was able to discover how rappers organize themselves politically, how they commoditize their products and distribute them to create various types of social mobilities. In this dissertation, I constructed models to typologize rap groups in Bogota, Colombia, which I call polities of rappers to discuss how these groups come together, take shape, make plans and execute them to reach their business goals.

  • MILLIYON Lights Are Spotlighted
MILLIYON Lights are spotlighted. Cheers are echoed. Crowds are screaming after many rocked stages. Lives are impacted and forever changed through an experience rendered as “Milliyonic,” a new movement led by God and spearheaded by a young man who aims to challenge the hearts of people to live passionately for Christ. Just who are we talking about here? His name is Milliyon. And while his name is vastly known from the “Cajo Famly” and “Kingdom Business” tours with gospel artist Canton Jones, and for being featured on a song entitled “Bended Knee” on Deitrick Haddon’s “Church On The Moon” which debuted at #1 on the Gospel Billboard charts,” he also wrote the hit song “Holy Ghost Holiday” on James Fortune’s record “Encore” which debuted at #2 on the Gospel Billboard chart. He’s twice been nominated as hip hop artist of they year by G.C.M.A and shared the stage with mainstream artists such as: Rick Ross, T-Pain, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary and Jazzy Phae, and his mission still, is to shake the world into an undeniable knowledge of who God is. His music is an extensive tool to help spread the word across the world. His approach is unheard of, his lyrics are irrefutably dope and his lifestyle is identically mirrored to the word of God. Now, with Milliyonic Pure Culture his own label imprint, a new stage is being set for his debut album, Live Milliyonic, produced by Milliyon, Randy “Big Ran” Hairston (Oukast, Mase, Cam’ron, V.I.C, Canton Jones) and Brandon “Black Knight” Peavy (BK, Flame, Melinda Watts).

It sits next to Farragut Projects, tucked a few blocks away from Fort Greene Park and its neighboring brownstones. But today is Aug. 22, Day 1 of the Afropunk Music Festival. It’s 5 p.m— the hundreds of attendees gathered under the hot sun press against the barricade separating them from the empty main stage. No one wants to miss a moment of Ms. Lauryn Hill, who’s scheduled as the next performer. But Ms. Lauryn Hill isn’t the performer who gets on stage next. Transgender activist Cherno Biko leads a cavalcade of fellow protesters on stage to speak out against the violence wrought against black transgender bodies. Shagaysia Diamond, a redhead dressed in all black, is one of the protesters on a stage that promotes freedom; the banners that border it reads, “NO HOMOPHOBIA NO FATPHOBIA NO TRANSPHOBIA.” At 37 years old, Shagaysia Diamond isn’t used to large crowds.
