He founded and ranUmpumulo mission station from 1850-51, Empangeni from 1851-52, Entumeni from 1852-73. Worked for The Norwegian Schreuder Mission 1873-1882. 8 Tønnesen, Arnt, Born 6 January 1827. Carpenter, builder. South Africa Mission assistant at Entumeni. Later worked for an English mission 1854-1857. under bishop Colenso. Died in South Africa. 9 Tjomsland, Ole Born in Moland, Norway 14 March 1836. Carpenter. Olsen, Assistant at Entumeni. Went back to Norway in 1872 and left South Africa NMS. Emmigrated to USA. Assistant missionary, economy adviser at Empangeni South-Africa 1860-1861, Eshowe 1861-1863, Inhlazatshe 1863-1865, Imfule 1860-1871. 1865-1868, Entumeni 1868-1871, took part in founding Kwalabisa 1871 and then became a farmer in Natal. 12 Thorsen, Thor Born in Bergen, Norway 17 May 1833. Christian, Assistant missionary and mechanic at Entumeni and Mahlabatini South Africa 1860-1865. Returned to Norway and left the NMS. 1860-1865 Returned to South Africa and worked for the mission a short period ca 1875. Stayed as a colonist in Durban.
