She Ra and the princesses of power: typing (spoilers about season 3 included)

the rebellion

The Best Friend Squad

Adora/She-Ra : ESI the character of Adora is very comparable to the MCU’s Captain America as well in it’s ability as in her psychology. Both are hero guided by human compassion (white ethic), competent leader (black sensing) and with a clear weak black intuition (her general black and white morality and her fear of the worst outcomes in the 4th episode of season 2 is quite exemplar of it). LSI would have be possible due to her strategic abilities but her choice of the rebellion against the Horde (a clear Beta faction) indicate that she is not. Her general temper of Ixxj over any other temperaments and her obvious of black sensing ( how she admire Huntara for her brutal strength and her roguish temper in season 3 impede all possibility of EII or LII for this character). Glimmer and Bow: both ESEs Glimmer and Bow are very similar to each-other, both are very expansive and tend to involve emotionally others in a positive way with easiness. You can compare their ESE’s positive black ethics fueled by peaceful white sensing with ’s and Shadow weaver charismatic but violent black ethic fueled by a valuing of aggressive black sensing. In the episode 7 of season 1 their valuing of white sensing (relaxation oriented function) is explicit when they show their loving of relaxation in water of Glimmer’s aunt castle. None of them is particularly future oriented and don’t understand the concern of Adora about a long term plan (indicating their vulnerable white intuition).

The princesses

Frosta, Mermista and Perfuma: ILE, xLI and SEI Perfuma is a caricature of SEI (nature loving, peace-maker, emotionally driven but not assertive etc…), Mermista show mainly creative black logic and vulnerable black ethic characteristics with her constant cynical and apathetic attitude. There is not enough character development for telling if she is ILI or SLI. Frosta show mainly white logic traits in season 1 (firmness, rule enforcement and bluntness) but she show her Black intuition childish enthusiasm in the 2nd season other member of the rebellion

Angella: LII leader of the rebellion (an obvious alpha quadra faction), Angella is one of the few example of female LII in fiction despite having in the narration a very similar to most LII. She is composed, prudent, principled and strict (white logic) and adhere to clearly adhere humanist value (black intuition). She use her black intuition more and more through the series, with her stronger openness. Her disgust against violence is common for LII (vulnerable black sensing). Her sacrifice at the end of season 3 for common good is typical for LII in fiction (like Spock and Gandalf).

See Hawk: ESE See Hawk is very emotionally loud, theatrical and is “charismatic”, he is constantly seeking an audience (black ethic base). ESE is more likely to EIE due to his obvious lack of white intuition. SEE would have been a possible option because of his focus on his captain leadership title but he does not seem to be in any way focus on controlling people or situation so SEE is unlikely. The Horde

Catra : EIE Through the Serie Catra is mainly guided by her feeling negative or positive. her feelings for Adora make her giving the sword back to her former friend, her frustration caused by her inferiority complex towards Adora made her destroy the whole reality in season 3. she is a persuasive and charismatic character. She was able to convince Entrapta to follow the horde at he end of Season 1 as well as climbing at the head the crimson waste’s gangs thanks to her charisma. All this characteristics indicate EIE’s black logic. Her white intuition make her very perceptive about power game. Her mental instability is a common characteristics for EIEs in fiction as well as in real life (Commodus from Gladiator, Hitler, Caligula, Terra from Teen Titans). She is totally unable to understand Adora’s choice for the rebellion because of her clear adhesion to the hierarchic and brutal beta quadra who perfectly relate to Catra’s desire of hierarchic acknowledgment in compensation of her general insecurities.

Entrapta : LIE Entrapta is obviously an NT due to her adoration of science. LII and ILE does not make sense due to her absence of white logic principles, ILI could make sense with her black logic pragmatism and neutral alignment but she is a clear extroverted, so LIE. Like most LIE Entrapta is obsessed by technology. Her value of black logic+ intuition through the serie is opposed to ’s white logic + sensing point of view. While entrapta always seek improvement and believe in upgrades and possibility, Hordak think in Black and White static judgment (it lead me towards my goal or not). Her vulnerable white sensing is visible in the show when you saw her weird food habits.

Scorpia: SEI Scorpia is comparable to traditional male archetype of SEI (Gentle Giant Trope). She is peaceful and caring (white sensing) and emotionally expansive (black ethic). She is kind of off topic with the Beta quadra value of the Horde in all the serie and even propose to catra to leave the Horde with her in the Crimson Waste in season 3.

Shadow Weaver : EIE like said in the 6th episode of season 2, Shadow Weaver is very similar to Catra. Both are hierarchic minded as excepted for Beta (both fight for their Leader Hordak’s approval), both are persuasive (Shadow Weaver have big manipulative Skill and is the main figure that spread propaganda in the Horde), perceptive (she is able to Spot Adora’s potential while she is only a baby). In Her Flashback as White Spinner you can see her valuing of black sensing and her Beta warmonger mentality even when she was an enemy of the Horde.

Hordak: LSI Hordak is a composed, well mannered, cold , strict and calculating individual with a clear stubborn temper (he can not stand any kind of opposition to his views like Shadow Weaver’s focus about bringing back Adora in the Horde) ==> white logic. His black sensing is visible through his expansive invasion of etheria. We can see in season 3 his desire to be acknowledge by a higher authority, His original version, Horde Prime (more typical of an LSI rather than an SLE). Hordak is not very aware of Hidden potentials (weak Black intuition). He consider his experiment a failure without trying to adopt a different perspective in Season 2 episode 3, as well as his lack of curiosity about Adora’s meaning when he bring her accidently to etheria proove it. His general Paranoia indicate vulnerable black intuition as well.
