Sri Lanka Sea & Land Culture + Adventure + Sailing 17 – 26 Gennaio 2020 Sri Lanka Sea & Land Culture + Adventure + Sailing 17 – 26 Gennaio 2020 Lo Sri Lanka (Isola di Ceylon) è un’isola tropicale fatta di spiagge sabbiose e foreste lussureggianti, pittoresche cittadine collinari e vaste piantagioni di tè che hanno reso il paese famoso. La popolazione è in grande maggioranza buddista e le antiche tradizioni sono tuttora mantenute in vita presso i vari luoghi sacri sparsi per tutta l’isola. Lo Sri Lanka vanta anche innumerevoli siti dichiarati Patrimonio dell’umanità. Questo sarà un viaggio in cui cattureremo l’essenza del paese, scopriremo le tradizioni arcaiche, assaporeremo cibi della tradizione, ci tufferemo lungo fiumi di montagna, andremo alla scoperta di parchi naturali e navigheremo lungo la tranquilla costa sud alla ricerca di balene e delfini. Arrivo in hotel per sera. Soggiorno e Cena a Anuradhapura. Domenica 19 Gennaio - Anuradhapura | Mihinthalaya Dopo colazione tour di Anuradhapura e Mihinthale. Le rovine della città antica sono ottimamente conservate e si trovano sulla riva occidentale dell’affluente Malvatu Oya. La città di Anuradhapura appartiene ai patrimoni dell’umanità dell’UNESCO. Un luogo magico che vi farà immergere nel passato di epoche ricche di storia. Mihintalaya Rock - la culla del buddismo, è qui che il re Devanampiyatissa, che governò il paese nel 247 a.C., incontrò Arahat Mahinda - il missionario che venne in Sri Lanka portando il messaggio del buddismo. La roccia di Mihintalaya è accessibile attraverso 1840 gradini. Si dice che il Buddha abbia visitato questi luoghi sacri, come Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, dove Buddha raggiunse l'illuminazione, Ruwanwelisaya, contenente la reliquia del Buddha. La statua del Buddha Samadhi - Questa statua del Buddha del IV secolo in posizione meditativa è considerata un capolavoro della scultura. Cena e Pernottamento a Dambulla. Corporate Sailing Lunedì 20 Gennaio Al mattino saliremo alla fortezza sulla roccia risalente al 5° secolo AC. Un palazzo reale costruito sopra ad una roccia alta 200 mt, con affreschi unici risalenti a oltre mille anni - un luogo che ha incuriosito molti archeologi di tutto il mondo. La visita continua con la Porta dei Leoni, la parete a specchio, i fossati, gli stagni e le rovine archeologiche della roccia di Sigiriya ne fanno l'ottava meraviglia del mondo. Dopo la visita al tempio si prosegue proseguire con la visita della città di Sigiriya e del villaggio di Polonnaruwa, la capitale medievale del dell'XI e XII. Polonnaruwa, un meraviglioso equilibrio fra buddismo, arte, architettura e cultura indù dell'India meridionale. Un'esperienza che rimarrà impressa per sempre nei ricordi di ogni viaggiatore All'interno di questa cittadella murata si trovano i monumenti più significativi e meglio conservati di tutto Lo Sri Lanka, come il padiglione a pilastri in pietra a forma di loto chiamato Nissanka Latha Mandapaya; la Cittadella l'imponente casa reliquia di Vatadage; Tuparamaya, la casa delle reliquie circolari; lo stupa dorato pinnacolato Rankoth Vehera; il glorioso Polonnanru Gal Viharaya con sculture rocciose mozzafiato; la statua del re Parakramabahu il Grande scolpita su una roccia (durante il regno di questo re Polonanurwa raggiunse la sua era d'oro) e il gigantesco lago artificiale creato dall'uomo - Parakrama Samudraya che irriga ancora oggi la città e le terre coltivate. Cena e Pernottamento a Dambulla Corporate Sailing Martedì 21 Gennaio Per questa giornata ci sono due possibili proposte Proposta 1: Avventura e Rafting sul Kelani River – White Water Al mattino si viaggia a sud fino a raggiungere la località di Kitulgala è uno dei luoghi di vacanza dello Sri Lanka per le persone che amano l’avventura ed il rafting. Ciò che rende unico Kitulgala è il posizionamento naturale sul fiume Kelani che si estende per 5 km a monte di Kitulgala. Il segmento superiore è appropriato per le persone più esperte mentre il segmento inferiore è appropriato per i principianti del rafting. Nel mezzo delle rapide sono alcuni tratti tranquilli di circa 6,5 km. Ogni rapida ha una sua caratteristica unica. Cena e Pernottamento a Kitulgala Corporate Sailing Proposta 2: Tappa culturale nella città di Kandy Al mattino si viaggia a sud fino a raggiungere la località di Kandy, conosciuta in passato come Senkadagala, Kandy è una splendida città nella provincia centrale, in zona collinare fra le montagne di Knuckles e di Hanthana. La perla della città è il famoso tempio Sri Dalada Maligawa che sorge in città, all’interno del palazzo reale ed è chiamato “tempio del dente”. Il tempio custodisce il Dente Sacro, la reliquia buddista più importante dello Sri Lanka. Proseguendo la visita si raggiunge il Lago di Kandy chiamato anche “mare di latte” e situato all’interno della città e passeggiare qui sarò come fare un giro nella storia osservando le testimonianze delle varie epoche. Al pomeriggio si prosegue sempre in direzione sud fino a raggiungere la località di Kitulgala dove si trova il nostro resort. Cena e Pernottamento a Kitulgala Corporate Sailing Mercoledì 22 Gennaio Dopo la colazione andremmo alla scoperta della riserva naturale di Kitulgala (Makandawa Forest Reserve). La splendida riserva forestale di Makandawa si trova nel pittoresco villaggio di Kitulgala, nella provincia di Sabaragamuwa. La Riserva di Makandawa istituita come riserva forestale per proteggere lo spartiacque del fiume Kelani ospita molte specie di flora e fauna endemiche. La foresta è la foresta pluviale di pianura secondaria sul pendio inferiore con la foresta che si estende fino alle quote più elevate, contigua al Peak Wilderness Sanctuary. Un percorso di trekking di 2-3 ore attraverso la foresta, alla ricerca di flora e fauna endemica per un totale di circa 6 - 8 km. Le specie di mammiferi trovate qui includono lo scoiattolo indiano Grizzled, lo scoiattolo a strisce di Layard e la scimmia foglia dalla faccia viola. I corsi d'acqua contengono pesci endemici e molte specie di anfibi. La lucertola senza orecchie, la lucertola del canguro e la lucertola dal naso a gobba sono tra le specie di rettili e sono frequentemente viste nel fogliame lungo il fiume Kelani Nel pomeriggio si prosegue in macchina fino all’Oceano Indicano dove ci attenderà il nostro catamarano! Corporate Sailing Mercoledì 22 Gennaio – Imbarco Catamarano al pomeriggio (Cena a bordo) Crociera di 4 giorni / 3 notti a bordo il comodo catamarano di 16 metri con ampie quattro cabine con bagno. Ci imbarcheremo nel porticciolo di Kadawella nel pomeriggio per raggiungere la spiaggia bianca di Tallala. Corporate Sailing Giovedì 23 - Venerdì 24 – Sabato 25 Gennaio Mirissa Beach / Weligama Bay Dopo colazione andremmo alla ricerca delle balene fino a raggiungere Mirissa Beach. Nel pomeriggio attività di surf in spiaggia per poi raggiungere Snake Islands a Weligama Bay. Tutta la costa sud dello Sri Lanka è cosparsa di piccole baie dove ancora il turismo di massa non è ancora arrivato. Il nostro catamarano è uno dei pochi presenti in tutto lo Sri Lanka. Galle Bay, In rotta verso la città portoghese di Galle fermandosi a Jungle Beach per pranzo. Nel pomeriggio visita del forte olandese. Porto tra i più importanti dell’Est, dove il commercio delle spezie, gioielli e animali prosperava. Oltre a diventare la più grande fortezza in Europa costruita in Asia. Venne chiamata dai portoghesi Galle ascoltando cantare un gallo. Nel XVI secolo era il porto più importante dell’isola e, soprattutto nel XVIII secolo, era il suo momento migliore. Successivamente, con l’arrivo degli inglesi, lo sviluppo di Colombo fu favorito come porto principale. The terms patimaghara, prethimagruha, Denoting image house and Prethimagruha has been formed by combining words prethima and gruha meaning image and its abode respectively. The other term bimbalaya has mentioned in the Silpa text called Manjusri vastuvidya shastraya (Jayasuriya, H.F: Silva, R; Prematileke.P.L; 1995. ) denoting image house also has been formed by combining the words bimbe or image and Alaya or abode (house). The other Sinhalese terms pilimage, buduge, viharage are formed by using the meanings of utility of the building and its spatial organization and while the terms buduge and viharage specially reflected the meaning of the sitting, standing and reclining (viharathi) abode of the master. Image house or Pilimage was the most an unambiguous and well dependable functional design was practiced within the Environment of organic Buddhist monasteries in ancient Sri Lanka. An image house presents a multitude of design forms in the course of its historical development.
