Although overall disposal percentage of cases i.e. 87.10 in case of all 25 District Forums in these 24 Districts of Uttar Pradesh is satisfactory but, if we make one to one analysis of 25 District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums under Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow Division of state than we came to know that performance of District Forums of Ambedkarnagar, Amethi, Aurraiya, Barabanki, Deoria, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow-II and Sultanpur need improvement and Uttar Pradesh Government must take necessary steps like filling vacant post of eleven presidents and nineteen members in District Forums of state and starting of Lok Adalats to ensure quick justice to consumers. INTRODUCTION Government of India enacted number of laws for protection of aggrieved consumers but, Consumer Protection Act,1986 was one of the landmark Law which facilitated setting up Consumer Disputes Redressal Agencies at District, State and National level for providing simple, speedy and inexpensive redressal to aggrieved consumers and accordingly Uttar Pradesh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Comission and 79 District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forums was set up by Uttar Pradesh Government in its state capital Lucknow and 75 District Headquarters of Journal of Marketing Strategy (JMS) 172 Email: [email protected], http://www.jmspublication.com (An open access scholarly, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary and fully refereed journals.) Ambedkarnagar, Barabanki, Faizabad, Sultanpur and Amethi district falls under Faizabad Division. Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar and Maharajganj district falls under Gorakhpur Division. Jalaun, Jhansi and Lalitpur district falls under Jhansi division. Auraiya, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar district falls under Kanpur Division. Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, Raebareli, Sitapur and Unnao district falls under Lucknow Division. Lucknow District under Lucknow division has two District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forums in Lucknow. TYPE OF RESEARCH The present study describes the present state of affairs of Consumer Dispute Redressal Agencies in 24 different district headquarters under Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow Division of state of Uttar Pradesh and further explores reasons for the same. Hence this study is descriptive cum exploratory in nature. OBJECTIVES OF STUDY It attempts to elaborate the state of affair of the cases filed/disposed/pending of at 25 District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums of Uttar Pradesh working in 24 different districts under Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow division of the state. The study points out various problems being faced by these Agencies and suggests their possible solutions. The study examined the Statement of Cases Filed / Disposed of/pending in 25 District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums in 24 Districts under Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh as depicted in Table 1.1. Analysis of Table1.1 reveals that 227676 cases have been filed out of which 198316 cases (87.10%) has been disposed of. 2. The overall disposal rate of 87.10 percent reflects that disposal rate of the cases at 25 District Forums in 24 districts under Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow division of Journal of Marketing Strategy (JMS) 175 Email: [email protected], http://www.jmspublication.com (An open access scholarly, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary and fully refereed journals.) This study attempted to capture latest dynamics of development of blocks of Faizabad University, Jobner, Jaipur, division of Eastern Uttar Pradesh in respect of Agriculture and Infrastructure systems. Techniques Rajasthan, India adopted by Narain et al. have been used in addition to Principal Component and Factor Analysis. Ranking of the blocks in respect of performance in Agriculture, General Infrastructure and Industry have Amar Singh been obtained in this study. Ranking seems to very close to ground reality and provides useful ITM University, Gwalior, M.P, information for further planning and corrective measures for future development of blocks of Faizabad India division of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The day is marked by worldwide celebrations, events, and advocacy campaigns. This year in 2018, more than 11.6 million people promoted the simple, life- saving act of hand washing with soap on Global Hand washing Day across the state. The day was founded by the Global Hand washing Partnership in 2008 to help communities, advocates, and leaders spread the word about hand washing with soap. This year’s Global Hand washing Day theme, “Clean Hands – a recipe for health,” emphasizes the linkages between hand washing and food. Hand washing is an important part of keeping food safe, preventing diseases, and helping children grow strong. Yet, hand washing is not practiced as consistently or as thoroughly as it should be. Diarrheal disease limits the body’s ability to absorb nutrition from food and is a major cause of death in low resource settings. Hand washing with soap is an effective way to prevent these losses. Global Hand washing Day raises awareness of the importance of hand washing and encourages action to promote and sustain hand washing habits. Organizations and individuals can celebrate Global Hand washing Day by planning an event, participating in a digital campaign, or simply spreading the word about the importance of hand washing.     INTRODUCTION Northern Railway Lucknow Division, formerly part of Oudh Rohilkhand Railway up to 1925, and later part of East Indian Railway from 1925 to 1952, caters to rail transport requirement of the most populous state of the country, serving 14 districts of Uttar Pradesh with a total route network of 1476.10 Kms. This Division is predominantly passenger service oriented with about 601 passenger-carrying trains. The Division provides vital link between Eastern and Northern States for freight traffic on diesel route, and also serves as an alternative passage for traffic of the electrified route due to saturation on Allahabad Division and particularly in the event of a disruption. Divisional Audit Office, Lucknow is responsible for audit of activities (operation of trains both goods and passenger and maintenance of rolling stock etc.) of Lucknow division of Northern Railway.     National Geographical Journal of India, An International Peer-reviewed and refereed Journal of India (NGSI-BHU, ISSN: 0027-9374/2015/1564), vol. 61 (4), Dec. : 321-332 Spatial Analysis of Regional Development : A Block Wise Study, Faizabad District Sadaf and Abdul Munir Regional development is a multi-dimensional phenomenon. It represents an overall development of any region. The concept of regional development means the fullest development of any region according to its potentialities. The problem of regional disparities is not found in India only rather it is a global problem. However, in India, it is more common than in any other country. The present paper is an attempt to show the spatial pattern of regional development at block level of Faizabad district for the period of 2010-2011. Twenty two variables have been selected for analyzing the spatial variation of development of 11 blocks of the district. For this study, secondary data have been collected from the stastical bulletin and primary census abstract. Composite index of development and Z score have been used to calculate the agricultural development, infrastructural development, industrial development, socio-economic development and finally the level of overall development. The analysis revealed that Amaniganj holds the first position while Rudauli attains the low level of development.
