Specifics of Paying for Tuition Using Bankcards

Using the online payment system of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, you can pay for educational services in the field of higher education by means of Visa International Service Association, Mastercard Worldwide, MIR, UnionPay International (UPI) cards.

To make a payment you will need: . Registration number of study contract (can be obtained from your Faculty); . Full name of the student: surname, given name, patronymic (if applicable) as indicated in the study contract; . Student's date of birth; . Student's contact details (phone and e-mail); . Faculty name and study semester to pay for; . The exact amount of tuition fee for the corresponding semester (in rubbles); . Credit / debit card details. All fields of the forms presented on the payment page https://www.msu.ru/pay/ must be filled in. After entering the data, you will be redirected to the authorization server page of the Bank's Processing Center. For your convenience, you can choose the language of the payment system interface.

Payment Rules When you pay for tuition with a bank card, the payment is processed on the bank's authorization page, where you need to enter your bank card details:

1. Card type; 2. Card number; 3. Card validity period (indicated on the front side of the card); 4. Cardholder name (in Latin letters, exactly as indicated on the card); 5. CVC2 / CVV2 code.

If your card is connected to the 3D-Secure service, you will be automatically redirected to the page of the bank that issued the card to go through the authentication procedure. For information on the rules and methods of additional identification, check with the bank that issued your card. In case of refusal to authorize the card, you can repeat the payment procedure.

The PCI DSS international security certificate guarantees the security of processing Internet payments through the bank’s payment gateway. The transfer of information takes place using TLS encryption technology. This information is not available to unauthorized persons.

Tips and recommendations on the necessary security measures for making payments using a bankcard:

1. Take care of your plastic cards in the same way as you protect cash. Don't forget them in your car, restaurant, store, etc.; 2. Never give your full credit card number to any person or company by phone or email; 3. Always have at hand the emergency telephone number of the bank that issued your card, and in case of loss, immediately contact the bank; 4. Enter your bankcard details only when making a purchase. Never share them anywhere for any other reason.

It is recommended to keep electronic receipts for payment of services, at least, until it is confirmed that the funds have been transferred to the current account of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Termination of the service agreement The Consumer's right to terminate the service agreement is regulated by Article 32 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights".

 The Consumer has the right to terminate the contract for the provision of services at any time, subject to payment to the Executor of a part of the price proportional to the part of the provided service, prior to receiving notification of termination of the specified contract, and also reimbursing to the Executor the costs incurred by it up to that moment to fulfill the contract;  The Consumer, upon detection of defects in the provided service, has the right, at his/her choice, to demand: o gratuitous elimination of deficiencies; o corresponding price reduction; o reimbursement of expenses incurred by him/her to eliminate deficiencies on his/her own or by involving third parties;  The Consumer has the right to make claims related to the defects of the provided service within two years from the date of acceptance of the provided service;  The Executor is liable for deficiencies in the service if the Consumer proves that they arose before they were accepted by him/her, or for reasons that arose up to that moment.

Refunds The Bank in accordance with the rules of Payment systems carries out refunds to the bank cardholder in case of his/her refusal to use the services and termination of the contract. Refunds are made to the card Issuer by bank transfer in accordance with the details of the bankcard from which the initial payment was made. The transfer is carried out by the Bank based on information available in the Information Systems of the Bank and the Processing Center (PC). The procedure for the transfer of funds by the Issuer to the cardholder is determined by an agreement between the Issuer and the cardholder. The total refund period can be from one (1) to thirty (30) business days.
