Nurhan BÜYÜKKARTAL 2013, 73 Sayfa Jüri Prof.Dr.Hüseyin DURAL Prof.Dr.N.Münevver PINAR Prof.Dr. Kuddisi ERTUĞRUL Bu çalışmada, Liliaceae familyasına ait Ornithogalum cinsinin Myogalum alt cinsinde yer alan Ornithogalum chetikianum Uysal, Ertuğrul & Dural ile O. demirizianum Malyer et Koyuncu türlerine ait karşılaştırmalı morfolojik, anatomik, palinolojik ve mikromorfolojik özellikler ortaya konulmuştur. Morfolojik çalışmalarda türlerin; skape, yaprak, rasem boyları ile çiçek ve meyve gibi yapılarına ait ölçümler verilmiş ve tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Anatomik çalışmalarda kök, skape ve yapraktan ayrı ayrı mikrotom ve el ile kesitler alınarak yapısal özellikleri ortaya konulmuştur. Kök, skape ve yaprak enine kesitleri ile ortaya konulan anatomik yapılarının, taksonomik önemlerinin olduğu gösterilmiştir. Palinolojik çalışmalarda polenlerin boyutları ile sulkus uzunluk ve genişlikleri, ekzin ve intin kalınlıkları ölçülmüş ve A/B oranı hesaplanmıştır. Işık mikroskobu ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) ile fotoğraf çekimleri yapılmıştır. O. chetikianum polenlerinin apertür tipi monosulkat iken O. demirizianum türünde apertür tipi monosulkat ve zonosulkatdır. O. chetikianum ve O. demirizianum polen şekilleri sırası ile subprolat ve prolat-sferoidaldır. Ornamentasyonun distal ve proksimal yüzeylerde farklı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Makromorfolojik incelemeler ile türlere ait meyve ve tohum boyutları ölçülmüş, mikromorfolojik olarak meyve ve tohumlar ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. SEM çalışmalarında meyve ve tohumlar fotoğraflanmış ve farklılıklar tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Çalışılan türler Myogalum alt cinsine ait olan diğer türler ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Nurhan BÜYÜKKARTAL 2013, 73 Pages Jury Prof.Dr.Hüseyin DURAL Prof.Dr.N.Münevver PINAR Prof.Dr. Kuddisi ERTUĞRUL In this investigation comparative morphological, anatomical and palynological properties of Ornithogalum chetikianum Uysal, Ertuğrul & Dural and O. demirizianum Malyer et Koyuncu taxa which belong to Myogalum subgenus of Liliaceae have been presented. In morphological studies species scape, leaves, racem, flower and fruit dimensions measured and presented in table. In anatomical investigations root, scape and leaves cross sections have taken both of by microtome and hand and structural characteristics have shown. Root, scape and leaves cross sections showed that they have taxonomic significance. In palynological investigations pollens dimensions, sulcus length and width, exine and intine thickness have been measured and A/B ratio calculated. Pollens photographed with light microscope and SEM. The aperture type of O. chetikianum pollens is monosulcate while O. demirizianum is monosulcate and zonasulcate. The shape of pollens of O. chetikianum and O. demirizianum is subprolat and prolate- spheroidal, respectively. The pollen ornamentations in both of distal and proximal surface is different. In macromorphological investigations fruits and seeds of species have been measured and in micromorphological studies fruits and seeds of species examined in detail. In SEM investigations fruits and seeds were photographed and the differences between species presented in tables. Investigated species compared with the species which belong to Myogalum subgenus. The results indicate that the taxa generally differ from each other in terms of seed shape and dimension. Seed dimensions vary between 1.66 mm and 3.21 mm in length, and between 1.12 mm and 2.63 mm in width. The seed surface ornamentation is grouped into nine forms: ru- minate, reticulate, reticulate-areolate, reticulate-foveate, alveolate, scalariform, rugose, verrucate and areolate. The most common type is ruminate, while areolate, reticulate-foveate and scalariform ornamentation forms were found to be taxon-specific. Testa structures of the taxa examined consist in general of two different layers: the epidermis and the subepidermis in scleranchymatous or parenchymatous structures. The subepidermis may be absent in some of taxa. The structure and thickness of the epidermis and the subepidermis are very important characteristics that dis- close interspecific relations among the examined taxa.

Except from Muscari macrocarpum, the others are endemic species for our country and they could be counted as M. bourgaei, M. sandrasicum, M. racemosum, M. turcicum and M. vuralii. In scope of morphometric analyses, many numbers of morphologic and anatomic characters were used to determine the diagnostic of Muscari species and the created dendrogram gave very important information about them. Taxonomical obtained results supported the previous taxonomical assignments meaningfully in Flora of Turkey. The outcomes revealed that the taxa were similar in some aspects with such as sterile flowers, thick cuticle of scape and two rowed vascular bundles of scape. However, some features belonging to scape, leaves and flowers were primarily diagnostic characters among taxa, and they were founded having taxonomic value in the distinction of these taxa from each other. Instead, we see broad swings from cool, through freezing, to hot with wildfires in many areas. All adding to the difficulties encountered by the natural world – perhaps our gardens will indeed become the last refuges for many plants - though I doubt we can say the same for all flora and fauna. While the corona virus pandemic continues, along with other viral outbreaks around the world, the chances of being able to return to the free movement of people and the opportunities to meet face to face with other plantlovers are still vanishingly distant. Technology in the form of webinars, Zoom meetings and the like are a welcome distraction for many – and at least provide a small measure of “togetherness” and I am sure that now the benefits of regular online publications like IRG are being truly appreciated. Of course, without the efforts and generosity of our contributors the IRG would be a poor creature – and we are, more than ever, grateful to those authors who believe in our work and wish to be involved in this project to bring articles freely to the internet. This month we welcome Jānis Rukšāns from Latvia with the description of a new Leopoldia species. Jānis has suffered loss and illness from Covid19 in his close family – there are few countries which are not suffering still from this viral attack.

Then, they were transferred to MS, Orchimax and Lindeman Orchid Medium basal bulblet induction medium supplemented with cytokinins (1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 8.0 mg/l N6-benzylamino-purine (BAP), Zeatin and 2-isopentyladenine (2-iP) at 16 °C. After ten months of culture initiation, high frequency bulblet regeneration was developed using bulb scales on different basal media containing different concentrations of cytokinintypes. The highest ratio of bulb scales forming shoot/bulblets per explant (87%) and bulblets per explants (5.60) were induced on a Orchimax media supplemented with 8 mg/L Zeatin. MS and Orchimax medium gave the best result in terms of embryonic calli formation and in vitro bulblet production compared to Lindeman Orchid medium.

    Yeşilırmak River Basin Inventory Of Non-Wood Forest Products SUNUŞ Türkiye’nin kuzeyinde yer alan Yeşilırmak Havzası, Odundışı Orman Ürünleri konusunda oldukça zengin bir potansiyele sahip bulunmaktadır. Odun Dışı Orman Ürünleri (ODOÜ), orman içi ve açıklıklardan elde edilen bitkisel ve hayvansal ürünler yanında, orman kaynağından elde edilen fonksiyonel (eko turizm, rekreasyon, su üretimi, hava üretimi, bilimsel faydalanma ve erozyon) yararlanmaları da içermektedir. ODOÜ genel olarak orman arazilerinden elde edilen tali ürünler olarak kullanılmaktadır.
