Madame de Géry introduces the school’s first students to the Atari 400 (1979). When Charlotte de Géry founded a small French-American school in Palo Alto in 1979, she had great faith in the transformative power of a bilingual education. She dreamed of helping students learn and explore through language, understanding that bilingualism is a gateway to developing multiple perspectives, problem-solving skills, and a sense of global responsibility. Although Madame de Géry may never have envisioned the renowned international educational institution ISTP has become today, every step in our journey has been inspired by her founding spirit of discovery and wonder, and her belief in the life-changing power of the bilingual journey. In the 38 years since our founding, we have added a Chinese program and International Middle School, expanding the dynamic bilingual education we offer to more students and more grades, and incorporating innovative technology, computer science, design thinking, and co-curricular programs. With each stage of evolution, ISTP continues to balance an innovative spirit with traditional and ... to an expansive future.. 2 3 SOIRÉE DU VIN Silicon Valley’s Premier Live Wine Auction Welcome Guests First, please join me in thanking our new co-chairs for the Soirée du Vin - Stéphane and Tania Hauradou.
